I am devastated what happened a couple of days ago at this store. I am a loyal member which my family and I spend thousands of dollars at this part store. With my 3 children in the car I walked up to this store at 9:20pm on Friday night and the store was locked and all of the employees joined around closing the store early and not conducting business for Advance by closing stores early just to go home. The team stood around on cellphones not working laughing at me thru the glass door I was so upset about the experience. One of the employees knew I was recording went to the back grabbed a sign that states system down which is untrue. District manager corporate please resolve this issue as I am a consumer . Please verify when stores need to be closed thank you! Below I will insert photos.
My boyfriend went in to purchase a battery connector and looked for someone to help guide us in the right direction. First, we asked for help with testing his car battery. Manager said “we usually don’t go outside to do it but we will do it for you this time.” I don’t appreciate being reprimanded when I’m asking for assistance. Then we asked two people for help with finding the connectors. Everything is “over there” with no true direction. Very unprofessional and unproductive employees. I would suggest hiring people who actually want to work instead of standing around conversing the whole shift. Then my boyfriend asked about the tool loaner program. He was informed by the manager that someone stole the tools and he doesn’t know what happened to the program. He didn’t help us any further than that. This was the most unhelpful manager I’ve ever met along with his unknowledgeable employees.
Switch went out on my ride on the weekend, perfect timing. Visited this location because it’s near my job. Passed it for years and only went in three times. There are always males occupying the parking lot and the adjacent lots working on others’ cars and sometimes offering to fix mine as well. This is year round and probably only lets up during rain storms and when the store closes. Today, it was like a party with so many people moving around the parking lot and Reggae music playing. This is cool, if it were Bahama Breeze. I’m not knocking the hustle, but I bet this doesn’t happen in the Advanced Auto near Aventura, Galt Ocean Mile, Doral, you get my drift. There’s a sign that advises against auto repairs on the premises and which obviously gets ignored by some. Once inside, I was not immediately acknowledged by the three workers present until I spoke up. I was directed to the beautiful associate, Demetrius. He was well groomed, fresh breath, clean teeth, clear speech and he knew a thing or two about auto parts. He shared his experience with the particular part I was purchasing. I appreciated his confidence that the switch would most likely correct my concern and that it only usually happens after 100,000 miles or more, I was glad about that, but even happier with the price. God is good!!!
Great experience, Mac was very helpful, I was having issues with my battery he checked it for me and also charged it, Mac thank you for giving me amazing customer service and being very attentive and helpful you are amazing and we need more people with your personality, thank you for showing empathy with me as I was frustrated after a long day, you definitely help change that, I appreciate you as a person. I will continue shopping at this location because of the excellent customer service from Mac. - Sandra
If I could give a negative star to this store, I would. Worst customer service ever. I paid for a battery that the manager Phil said it'll be here the next day. I come in after work, expecting a battery after the manager promise it'll be here. No battery. The manager Phil had a different tune for me; telling me it haven't shipped from the other store. I asked before him before I paid do another store has it. He told me no, it has to come from a warehouse. Make it make sense.
Best experience. As a woman you Question walking into a auto store. However I was greeted. And took care of quickly with a 100% satisfaction. By a gentleman name zay can't thank you enough super cool dude
They don't carry what you need and they don't like answering the phone
Shopped here for a few years Some great employees Stopped going and the parts were not the best Switched to ORiellys based on better parts 7/28/23 Update: had bad experiences at both stores in Oakland Park West No more will shop other brands now, enough is enough…new manager at this store is horrible
It was okay! I went in there for a free battery check up,and one of their guys was very nice and willing to help me in no time.
I don’t like the way they handled this Portuguese man. His English was broken but he understands and speaks English fairly well and I don’t think they actually took the time out to really help him. I’m kinda disappointed in how they treated him.
