As a patron in dire need of a new battery, my day couldn’t have been any worse. My car left me stranded on the side of the road with a battery that produced 0 Volts. Luckily the battery was covered under warranty and I spoke to an agent via customer service prior to my arrival. Relieved to have to finally made it to the store I was encountered by rude and condescending behavior by staff that worked there. Especially after I’ve explained to them what was going on. I was then met by the general manager who looked disheveled and unprofessional in appearance approach me in a very confrontational way. He was quick to dismiss us out of the store without us explaining our side of the story. Once we’ve challenged him he was quick to throw a tantrum and immediately told us to leave. As a American citizen am I not right to stand up for myself regardless of setting? This was simply outrageous and it diminishes your core values as a reputable institution. I had to pay a tow truck to come pick up my car how appalling.
The store itself is not bad, there is good selection and the prices are reasonable. I was looking for a tire pressure gage and they had about 20 different varieties all of various ranges and types, which is better than I can say for most stores. That being said i feel that the store is understaffed because to buy 1 item it took about 10 minutes plus there were two people working the line. This seems unreasonable to me. I think they should hire more cashiers to help expedite lines and provide customer service for wandering customers. Not a great experience here.
A revolving door of managers, borderline clueless staff, and seems like computer issues every other hour. Seems to me like the woman in the back is the only sensible one lately after they got rid of the actual manager who knew about cars.
I use this store all the time and you have to order online to get any discount compared to just walking in the front door. Did an online order for some wipers, all showing in stock and ready in 30 minutes. After placing order, got a call that they are out of stock and only option was to drive an hour round trip to Bayonne. No other alternatives offered so they hung up on me and cancelled my order. Good luck to you, my business is going elsewhere.
The service here was just plainly outrageous. The general manager definitely has a few screws loose and flew off the handle when policy was challenged on a car battery that was still within warranty. I've have worked in retail, Healthcare and in the military service for years and I have never treated anyone as poorly as this guy treated us. I would not return to this establishment anymore.
i would like to start by saying i have 40 years fixing cars and am still working at a dealership . was working on a neighbors car and had to go to another store to get the part cause of location only . i then suspected i recieved the wrong part and went to ramsey location to double check before doing the job . they said yes it was correct and started that evening . well i was screwed , car on the lift and went back to ramsey and looked for help . they had no sympathy and then sold me the correct one for 50 dollars more . i asked manager for help with pricing and said he cant . showed him email coupons and said no ! i paid cause i needed the part. the night manager is no manager and should not be a manager . no care for who i was or the company i worked for or customer retention . yeah you got 50 dollars today but lost because i do this everyday .will not go to this place again .newer guy behind the counter was helpful . then the manager asked me if it was a hard job . really try doing it ! terrible expierence !
This 5 star review is only possible due to the current management. I have watched that place go to hell for a while. If they hire anymore delinquents or fire/move any of the current staff, I can promise that this review is void. That commercial woman has kept that place together while their corporate was sitting on their thumbs and blaming her for not being better.. by HERSELF. Advance, I hope you read this and realize that treating your employees like they're the problem and your hands are clean when you refuse to hire anyone other than liars and thieves is ridiculous.
They have parts for cars. So not much else to say. Don't be looking for too much help with what you need....auto parts stores aren't what they used to be, staffed with people that know a lot about cars. Most people I guess also don't work on their own cars much anymore. But for a car person...just take a deep breath and put on a smile before you go in.
i came to buy battery, but they said they couldn't test my old one as they short-staffed and their store closes at 6pm instead of 9. just a waste of time
Needed a not so common aux battery for my Jeep - their online ordering system said in stock, but after I ordered and called to confirm before picking it up they said it wasn't... But before I had even called, Brett the manager had already called around to find what I needed and had it on a truck to the store within a few hours. Its rare to find anyone who actually cares about the customer experience anymore. THANK YOU!
