Insurance
Insurance issues can be confusing and sometimes frustrating. At Advanced Foot & Ankle Center, we try to make the process as easy as possible. Please bring your insurance card to each appointment. We will collect all copays at the time of service.
We do accept most insurances, and we file claims as a courtesy to our patients. We will notify you if we believe your insurance will not pay for an item/service, but please verify your benefits with your insurance company using the toll-free number on your insurance card.
All patients are ultimately responsible for any outstanding balances not covered by their insurance. If you believe that you will be unable to pay your balance in full when due, please notify us at the time of your visit. We have several payment options available that we can customize to your individual situation.
Appointments
We try to accommodate our patients as much as possible for appointments. If you have a problem of an urgent nature, some same day or next day appointments are available. We may offer you an appointment with our other physician in order to treat you as quickly as possible for urgent problems.
For your first visit to our office, we ask that you arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment so we may review your paperwork and collect the necessary insurance information.
Our office has a strict policy on cancellations. If you must cancel your appointment for any reason, please notify us 24 hours in advance. Failure to do so will result in a charge of $25.00 to cover the administrative costs associated with a missed appointment.
Prescription Refills
We are happy to take your prescription refill requests by phone through our clinical voice mail system. Please allow 48 hours to complete your request. Due to the amount of patients we see on a daily basis, we are unable to honor any refill requests in less than 48 hours.
When leaving a refill request, please be sure to leave your name, your phone number, name of prescription, dosage, pharmacy name and phone number. Be sure to speak slowly and clearly. Without all of the above information, your request could be delayed while we obtain the information necessary to complete it.
By law, the physician must have an up-to-date medical record for all patients receiving prescription medications. This time period can change based on the type of medication you are requesting. If you have not been seen within these timeframes, you will be asked to make an appointment with the physician before the refill can be approved. We apologize for the inconvenience, but this is mandatory and cannot be overridden, despite the circumstances. Please understand this policy also helps us protect our patients and provide the highest level of care possible.
After Hours Calls
In the event of an emergency after regular business hours, please call our office directly at 704-662-8336. Our automated system will prompt you to leave a message for the on-call physician. These messages are forwarded to the physician and will be handled based on urgency. Please refrain from contacting the physicians after hours for non-emergent matters or routine questions.
