It was my first time at the facility. If you know me I have OCD, and my inspection of cleanliness started outside, which was very clean. No paper anywhere and the lawn was nicely manicured. Very clean on the inside, with friendly check in staff. some of my background have to do with floors., think the floors could be stripped, buffed and waxed in some areas. The registration ladies on the day is there was really nice and funny. Could you get them a steak dinner for. I’ll appreciate it. The staff I had for my exams was very nice. They explained each procedure before getting started and made more calmer than nervous. I applaud your staff, they are some of the most friendliest people I’ve ever met in outpatient full of smiles friendliness and warmth. Can’t wait for my next visit.
My last admission saw me in the ER for at least 7 hours. They did many tests and let me know the results before I was transferred to the 3rd floor. I received excellent care as I have every time I have been admitted here in New Smyrna Beach. I would never have hesitate to go to the NSB Advent Hospital. Everyone is very caring and happy.
From the moment I entered the emergency room, I felt such love and care. I had fallen and broken my tibia and fibula. I was then sent to the second floor of the hospital. It was such a wonderful experience to be with all of these amazing caregivers! Each and every one of them was special. I was greeted by Erica when I got to my room and she explained that when I called it would be her voice that I would hear. An extra special step that I’ve never seen before when dealing with a hospital. These some of the I met them of the wonderful family on that floor of the hospital that were so incredibly helpful. Victoria, dr Wise, Amanda, Stevie, Melanie, Laura, Don, Madeline, Kayla, Catherine, Jennifer, Wil, Donna, Brittany. I fear that there might be a couple that slipped from my list, but I can assure you that EVERYONE on the second floor is an angel. I credit the people in charge of hiring this staff, making sure they are choosing a culture fit for the team. I can only Hope that I returned the favor by being a good patient! Many thanks to the second floor of the New Smyrna beach Advent!
From admission to discharge I can unequivocally say I could not have received a better experience or healthcare anywhere. It was my second surgery within a few short weeks and was duplicated by a highly gifted surgeon who was supported by an excellent staff of caring office and Advent Health hospital employees. Special thank you for reaching out to me following my hospital visit. Moving forward, I am doing well and have only good feelings and many thanks for you all.
The care I received was outstanding. Every staff member provided care necessary for my safety and comfort. The physicians were there to assess, diagnose and initiate a plan of care. This was done effectively and with good communication. The room was clean and the food was tasty.
My mom has been admitted several times over the last year and everyone is always so kind and considerate. Tara, the case manager was amazing and took the time to be sure I was aware of her care plan. Marilyn, from food and nutrition was amazing as well and was so very kind to my mom. We truly appreciate everyone who has been involved in her care!
Blood transfusion - Peggy Sue is the best experience ever!! We loved the first question on admission to her unit was —-you will be here for lunch so let’s take a look at the menu and order what you want. And the food was delicious. Venous access was quick on first try. Staff very interactive with us and a delight to know. Dr Factor’s office is a great, a special shout out to Kelly, Shelly, Andrew and Julie. Compassionate caring individuals who answered all our questions. Cared about us as a family dealing with a dreadful diagnosis. Love and respect to all. The Van Dusens
I want to thank everyone!! I had the best care. The staff is very professional. They were in my room every hour and I really felt that everyone of them was sincere. I was in town visiting my parents and ended up in the hospital. Here are some of the names Angie Venell Rudy Maggi, Dr. Okumagba Dr. Wilson, Dr. Isaac , Rea, heather, dauvy, trista. Such outstanding people . I really felt care for in every way .
My overall experience was fantastic. The staff was friendly and helpful. I knew at all times what was happening and what was up next. Post Operation, my nurse DeeDee was a saint!
Overall experience was great. The pre op nurse was very friendly and explained everything in detail, even though I’m a nurse as well. The nurses in the nurses station talked more about their personable issues too much. The charge nurse never came into my bay to introduce herself. I think this is a very important concept. I signed in at 12:45 and didn’t get the procedure done until after 3:30 pm. I know how frustrating it is because I’ve been on both sides of the spectrum. As a nurse at the NSB hospital for 22 years, I felt things could have taken more of a professional approach than what I experienced. Would I go back there again for any procedure/procedures? Absolutely!!
