I wanna tell you about 2 loving employees of your hospital! Nomatter what there doing! Weather I'm there patient or not! They always make time in there shift to acknowledge me and tend to me! Wonderful, ethical, loving ladies! One is a patient tech in the e.r and her name is Jessica and the other is Ms.Mandy the nurse that outshines more then others! These ladies represent your values! Keep the place in order and treat people with dignity
Unprofessional, rude, long wait. It saddened me today to see the state of this hospitals customer care. The Older Women with short hair who works the emergency room check in is always awful. I know the job is stressful but the attitude she gives patients is honestly horrible. I’ve came many times before and personally withstood the disrespect they offer patents plus the 10 hour wait that is offered with it even on a ‘slow’ day. Though I don’t know why I bothered to attempt and bring a loved one here. My 80 year old grandma had a broken foot and she offered no assistance to get a wheel chair out front where I had the car. She seemed annoyed I even asked where I should have her wait. There was a line of 8 people all standing outside waiting to be checked in. After I saw the lack of help being offered to even get her out of the car, I instantly left and got her properly cared for at another hospital. I hope to see more training within this hospital in the near future. There’s potential here but when a hurt old lady walks up to the waiting room there should be signs or kind workers waiting to check people in and direct them to where to wait and offer wheelchairs, seats and masks to patents. A patent should never be lost and made to feel unwelcome in front of the emergency room doors.
Check in was easy. Registration was quick and there are nurse in the pre-op room that are very caring and friendly. I appreciated that my husband was able to stay with me until time of surgery. This time, I had nurses that were warm and gentle as I came to in post-op. They were very accommodating. Thank you!
I have had many trip to your ER in the last 6 months, I am dealing with critical low potassium! The ER is a busy place no matter where you go. On my most recent visit, things were very calm, it only took 5 mins to register and was taken to the back! The nurses, and staff were quick to address my problems and make me as comfortable as possible! Suzanna one of my nurses was by far the most professional and and sympathetic to me! The doctor this night made sure I was taken care of before his shift was over! If you find yourself needing to go to the ER than you should give Adventist the chance to make your visit as calming as possible!
I've had 3 babies in this hospital, such sweet staff each time. This last week has been a very life threatening one and my nurses and doctors supported me every step of the way to getting better and having my baby naturally, in such a distressed situation for myself. I am thankful for the maternity and NICU staff. They just see so much in their days and they do their jobs with love and compassion. Thank you again for everything you all have done for me and my family.
Everyone I came in contact with was incredibly kind, gracious, and extremely helpful. I joked with my nursing staff that I wanted to be on the Good Patient List. Positive attitudes were common amongst staff. I was grateful for all who took care of me during my stay at Adventist Health. Great job to all the staff members at Adventist Health!
Everyone was very nice and helpful. They made sure I understood everything to do with my surgery. I felt secure that each nurse and Dr was aware of my case and double checked all my information. It was a good experience.
I was admitted for two days. I received excellent treatment by nursing staff, doctors, technicians, and basically, everyone who walked into my room to help me. Also, I was on a low sodium diet. To my surprise, the food was very good! Being in the hospital certainly is no fun. Thanks to all at Adventist who made my stay comfortable and tolerable.
Upon entry into the main hospital, I felt important. I was treated well, kind of like family. I went in for outpatient surgery. I had the best nurses in preop. I had really friendly nurses in the Operating room as well. My CRNA, John is awesome. And my surgeon, Dr. Roland Rodriguez is wonderful. Overall, things went well.
I want to begin by saying I am not one to go out of my way to leave reviews, especially negative ones, but my experience here at this hospital has left me extremely emotional and disappointed. I’m leaving this review in hopes that it can make a difference in how a future patient is treated. On August 16, 2022 I had gallbladder removal surgery scheduled, I was released that same day and felt okay. 3 days later, on August 19, I returned to the ER due to extremely sharp, intense abdominal pain and difficulty breathing. After spending 12 hours in the ER with no explanation of what was going on and no concern or care for the amount of pain I was in, I was admitted to the hospital. I was told the following morning, August 20, I would get additional testing done once I spoke to a doctor. August 20 I was in good contact with my nurses and they tried their best to assist me. I mentioned to the nurse that I haven’t had a bowel movement in 5 days so they gave me plenty of doses of laxatives to help me have a bowel movement. Throughout that day I experienced more “attacks” which were series of excruciating abdominal pain, nausea, sweating, and difficulty breathing. I continued calling my nurses to my room because the amount of pain I was in was extremely scary and it felt like something was seriously wrong. I asked to speak to the doctor and demanded testing be done because no testing had been done for me since being admitted. The nurses finally got ahold of the doctor, Dr. Vargas, and I was able to speak with her over the phone. She explained to me that the pain I was feeling was most likely due to my bowels finally moving and I just had to let them pass. I was extremely emotional speaking to her and remember telling her that this pain was beyond “being constipated” and telling her “something really feels wrong and I need you to do more testing for me, I’m scared for this pain to come back” she responded with “I don’t know what other tests I can do for you.” I remained at the hospital for a few more days while they monitored my pain. After being shut down and my symptoms pushed to the side time and time again by the doctor and nurses I finally believed that my pain was due to being constipated. I was discharged on August 22,2022 with a diagnosis of being constipated and returned home. The following day my abdominal pain returned which raised concern for me because my intestines had cleared out so why am I supposedly having pain that was due to intestinal blockage. I had my post-op appointment the following day with my doctor and brought the concerns to his attention, he requested blood work and an MRCP. Turns out gallstones slipped during surgery and got stuck in my bile ducts and now I need another procedure to remove them. After spending 4 long days in the hospital, I should have received proper diagnosis and treatment and not been discharged with some bogus diagnosis. I understand we are human, everyone makes mistakes, but I went to the hospital for help, I continued to cry out for help to the doctor and she insisted she didn’t know what else she could do for me. I feel extremely let down and pushed to the side. I did not feel a single bit of compassion from the doctor and not once did she make me feel like she was listening to me and how I felt. I hope another patient doesn’t have to leave this hospital feeling the same way I did and feeling the way I still do now.
