I’m speaking for my adult daughter who has a developmental disability. She has limited experience inside a hospital ED. From the beginning she was treated with dignity and respect. The staff smiled easily and reassured her when she felt anxious. I was a keen observer with years of experience as an RN so I know what I’m talking about. I could go on and on with complimentary thoughts. This was our very first visit to Adventist and in reality I hope the last lol if we must return, I’ll give another glowing review. Great job!
Doctors in the emergency room are incompetent for treating patients who are diabetic. The intake staff was rude and were completely wrong in their statements about blood sugars and what makes them spike. I was having constant high blood sugars over 350 for hours before we even came in and they still waited two hours to give me insulin through the IV. They didn’t answer our questions and would not give us any helpful information.
I have so many great things to say about the staff. I was an anxious mess thinking I was having an appendicitis. The staff, nurses and doctors were all very kind and comforting. The emergency room is extremely clean and organize and I couldn’t be happier with the care I received there today. They were busy, but the wait times were not extremely long. Thank you again for taking such great care of me today!
I thought it was the worst care. They don’t give you a bed to lay down in anymore? I had chills body ache, fever, could hardly walk, and I felt like passing out the whole time. Meanwhile, I’m sitting in a waiting room for five hours. I wouldn’t wish this on my worst enemy. The care I got once diagnosed was mediocre they didn’t even offer Tylenol for the Body Aches. Doctor just sent me home and told me to take some Tylenol, oh and come back if it last more than two days. Once I got home, I couldn’t even move. I was much worse off than when I arrived to emergency. The only reason why I went to emergency is because fever, body aches and chills have been going on for 3 weeks. That’s way too long to have these awful symptoms. What a joke.
I was at AH Simi Valley as a radiology outpatient, needed some fluoroscope procedure done. Dr. Zhang was very professional and caring throughout the whole procedure, he made me feel comfortable and informed. There was a nurse who help me prep prior to the procedure, she was very knowledgeable and gentle, I felt very supported throughout the whole process from the get go. I had great experience here at Simi as an outpatient. Thank you so much radiology team, as well as warm and kind welcoming admit/reception staffs as well!
Really bad experience with billing and costs. Charge $1200 for ultrasound scan that took a tech 10 minutes to do. No doctor or nurse. When I repeatedly asked why this was reasonable I was told this is what "we" charge and a bunch of legal stuff. They told me its my choice just pay or go to collections. The biller position was simple, Not Adventist's responsibility for justifying their pricing or informing us UPFRONT. They have eliminate our ability to choose or to go some where else, but pay an unjustified cost. Asked for prices adjustment or reduction - nothing. I was paying a bill for family member, so I paid it. But if it was for me I would let them go to collection and deal with them collection company instead. At least they have some sense of fair pay for service. HORRIBLE hospital !!! AVOID if you can.
The osteoporosis test was ordered by my Doctor, I had never had one so didn’t know what to expect. The lady Christine was very professional and kind, the test was very easy.!
My experience was several years ago...But, besides the ER, I was impressed. ER was full so I spent my time in the hall on a gurney. It was labor day weekend so I'm sure that contributed to this. The room I was put I to once admitted was amazing. I had a room to myself with 1 bed that looked like a hotel room. The painting behind the bed slid open to reveal oxygen/suction lines and everything else. I was impressed with what they have done at this hospital. Staff were friendly and helpful and the hospital was very clean.
In early September of last year, I had an injury and was taken by ambulance to Simi Adventist Health hospital. The medical staff that assisted me there were all pleasant and got me out of there in a timely manner even though I had both a CT scan and MRI done. Thumbs up to the nurses and medical staff working there! However, the accounting/billing department is a different story completely. In all, since around May of this year so they waited seven/eight months to give me a bill notification, I’ve been going back and forth with them regarding the $6000 bill the sent me instead of my insurance. In JULY it took my insurance company to figure out that Simi Adventist incorrectly billed them because they did not enter the correct social security number. Everything was supposed to be squared away that day. Now it’s still July and they have sent me three more reminders that I have a balance due… what?!?! So, basically there’s a lot of talk on their end and no actions. Unprofessional!
Do you guys have the best nurses they are unbelievably kind and very professional and your ear doctors are the best. I wish I could have them for a family doctor. The hospital was amazing.
