Had an amazing time kayaking. The water is clean and steady. The service is amazing. We were given detailed instructions and treated very nicely. Efi is super knowledgeable and a true nature person. He provides detailed guidance to those who may be new to this. Highly recommended.
Last night I was blessed to experience magic on the Gualala River! I did the full strawberry moon guided kayaking trip with Adventure Rents. To experience the river bathed in moonlight, to walk on the beach at our destination and look over at the lights of Gualala, to gaze at the ocean with gentle waves rolling in the moonlight and finally, to look through the telescope at the glorious moon was an amazing blessing! All that we needed was provided, quality kayaks, life vests, dry bags, accessible parking and help in and out of the kayak for this older lady. Efi was a perfect guide, he made sure we were all safe and comfortable with the size of our kayaks, asked each of our group about kayaking experience to make sure we were knowledgeable, and he provided a great telescope experience up on the the beach. They also rent during the day, and I could see how family friendly that experience would be too! Please help out this small town business, and experience the Gualala, CA River !
Very friendly & helpful staff. The location is great too- just a couple minutes from the town. They even have dog friendly kayaks! The river & scenery are stunning- highly recommend
Wonderful day out on the river. Guides were super helpful and friendly, and the Gualala is a beautiful place to paddle. Adventure Rents will get you set up with everything you need - boat, paddle, life vet, dry sack if you need it. Bring water, camera, snacks, SPF, layers. They'll get you all set up on the water and then you can paddle upstream towards the campground, or downstream towards the ocean. Both directions are beautiful. You'll probably see birds, and maybe some river otters. But even if you see nothing, it feel very peaceful and relaxing even if kayaking is exercise! Thank you Adventure Rents for a wonderful time today - we'll definitely be visiting again!
Nice gentle river to learn kayaking. Very enjoyable and unforgettable. The hosts were willing to share their knowledge of the area. The hosts were also personable, and we felt like we made new friends. Jeff and Julia

Super solid operation. Great for a day on the water with friends and our dog! A little hard to get ahold of at first I think that’s more just gualala vibes though haha but were super fun, cool and easygoing otherwise.

Planning a 4-day vacation along the Northern California coast, on September 17, 2020 I called and left an inquiry. Didn’t get a call back. Went to their website and found I could reserve a kayak for Monday, the 21st. Chose the kayak type and picked a time slot. Good to go? Nope. When we arrived right on time, there was absolutely nobody around. Waited...waited...called their phone...nothing. How incredibly irresponsible can you get?! Thanks, Adventure Rents, for screwing up our vacation!
