Adzooks Puppets
ADZOOKS PUPPETS, a puppet performance troupe led by Artistic Director David Wright, designs and implements educational and entertaining programs including puppet shows, life-size strolling puppets, puppetry workshops, in-services, and residencies. The featured performer of the troupe is Robin Lee Holm, a children's theatre specialist with a B.A. in theatre from Indiana University. Since 1976, she has performed as a professional puppeteer, mime, and ventriloquist throughout the United States, Canada, and Japan. Some of Ms. Holm's unique credits and accomplishments include contributions to the movie "Prancer," head puppeteer of the children's video "The Magic Slate," puppeteer for area commercials, designer of a surrogate parent puppet for an endangered Condor, and recipient of the 1990 Regional Puppeteers of America Founders Award, for her contributions to the promotion of the art of puppetry. In 2002, Adzooks was awarded the Young Audiences of Indiana Arts Powering Education Award for Artists Advocate.
Since forming in 1995, Adzooks Puppets has presented over 3000 performances, workshops, and in-services for over 250,000 audience members and participants throughout the state of Indiana. Nationally, presentations include educators’ conferences in Phoenix and San Diego, and performances and workshops in New York, Chicago, Cincinnati, Atlanta, Detroit, and numerous others.
