Sure, you could get your insurance directly from carrier...but you SHOULD use a broker. Why? Because you need someone on your side when it comes to dealing with insurance companies, which do not make money by paying claims. Aegis has handled my personal and professional lines of insurance for twenty years, and they will continue to because they find the best policies and stand by their clients when things don't go smoothly with carriers.

As a small General Contractor I have been doing business with Aegis for two decades.   They have always been extremely professional and respond quickly whenever I have a question or need documentation.   They always provide me with a variety of options in my insurance needs. This company is terrible. I recently lost my home in the Paradise fire. Nearly two weeks after the fires they have given me nothing but headaches. Despite overwhelming evidence that the entire city was lost, they are still arguing with me wether my home is still standing. I've sent them dozens of photos showing the evidence. They are refusing advance me any sort of my content coverage, despite the insurance company stating this is a requirement. They want to pay us 20k for loss of use when all estimates show that our costs will be nearly ten times that much and our policy covered up to 65k. Unethical, and incompassionate..... heartless

Aegis is extremely easy to work with and they go the extra mile to provide you with quality insurance at a fair price. I would definitely recommend them.
