Repair Policies / Terms and Conditions
Estimates are rough estimates and are subject to change. Additional costs consist of: broken or missing parts, heavy rust or corrosion, extreme bodywork, unseen ripped pads, parts or materials past their usable life, and repairing previous bad work by another technician outside of Aeolus Music Instrument Repair. Client will be notified about such changes and subsequent charges. Client must approve all work to be done before work can move forward.
If client rejects additional work to be done that affects the playability of the instrument, the client will be responsible for the parts and labor cost for all work done previous to the stoppage of work. Instrument will be assembled, as best as possible, and not be in any type of playable condition.
Estimates do not include California sales tax (8.75%) for parts and materials. If you require an estimate with tax, Aeolus Music Instrument Repair will be glad to fill one out for you. This may take up to 24 hours to process.
A 50% deposit is required upfront and remaining balance payable upon completion of work. This applies to repads, overhauls, extreme dent work, and any type of restoration.
Shipping fees are additional and are payable on completion of work. Client is responsible for the entire cost of shipping. Item(s) will always be shipped with a conformation number and the requirement of a signature when received. If you would like shipping insurance on an item please ask.
I do not give value on items that have not been serviced by Aeolus Music Instrument Repair, please refer to Ebay or other internet resources for this information.
Payment is due immediately after work is completed.
Purchase Orders are accepted as payment. School music programs are extended a 30 day billing grace period. This is for school finance office processing purposes.
Checks to be made payable to Aeolus Music, Aeolus Music Instrument Repair or Scott Mascarenas
If Aeolus Music Instrument Repair (AMIR) or Scott Mascarenas receives a returned check from our bank for a payment, you will be invoiced for the original amount of the check plus a $25.00 bank fee.
If full amount is not able to be paid, the item(s) repaired will stay in the custody of AMIR until balance is paid in full. Client will have ninety (90) days from date of the invoice to pay balance in full, which may include late fees and storage fees. If the client fails to pay the balance in full after ninety (90) days, the item(s) will become property of AMIR and sold to recoup the monies owed.
A late fee of $25.00 will be assessed after each thirty (30) days of non-payment.
A monthly storage fee of $50.00 will be assessed for instrument(s) not picked up after thirty (30) days.
