Aerostich is a game changer. I purchased the R-3 Light One Piece Suit. When I first started riding I was a minimalist on safety gear. I loved the "freedom" of a t-shirt while riding. Occasionally I would wear my biking jacket, with regular jeans and street shoes. Needless to say, I dressed for the ride, not the slide. That was a younger me, about 12 years ago. Well, after I wrapped myself around a tree going 50mph I took a break from riding. I recently I had my passion for riding reignited. I have a wife and 4 boys now. Going in, safety gear was at the top of the list. I was hesitant about getting a full suit but in talking with the kind people at Aerostich I was convinced to give it a try. When I tried on the suit, quickly the professional staff saw some alterations that could be made to dial in the fit for me. I was concerned about not "feeling as free" on the bike and getting way too hot in the suit. I put off this review as I waited to find something that I didn't like about the suit. Here I am at last, to say that I am in love with this suit. It has plenty of ventilation for those hot days. I have hopped on the bike and taken it around the block then parked in the garage without my suit on. In that short time, I was amazed how naked I felt without my suit. Its as much a part of my ride as the seat is now. This suit is so well thought out. From the fit, zippers, ventilation, adjustability, and ease of taking it on and off. I can't imagine riding without it anymore. Because of this suit I can wear gym clothes, dress clothes or casual clothes anywhere I go. Rain? No problem. Heat? No problem. Cold temps? No problem, plenty of adjustability to beef up what you're wearing under your suit. This isn't an accessory; it is as vital to me as the helmet. This stuff is built to last. You will not regret this purchase.
Excellent experience. We drove 8 hours round trip to Aerostich and it worth every minute. They have every piece of gear they make, in every size, and have all the colors in house. You can actually try on and get your hands on everything. The lady who works in the showroom is awesome. She knows everything about fit, materials, colors, etc. The absolute best customer experience I have ever had when shopping for motorcycle gear. Think we probably tried on 20 pieces of gear combos to get the perfect fit. Not my first Aerostich purchase, but my first in store purchase and it was great. My jacket had a 3 week lead time, and was at my house in 8 days! Would recommend to anyone and thanks for the best gear on earth!!!!
The Standard for motorcycle apparel. Made in America! Aclectic location, outstanding customer service, if it's for a 2 wheel ride they have what you need. Purchased my 1st Roadcrafter two piece off the rack. The staff assisted me for 45 minutes to get the sizing exactly right, 46 small, and did me right. I'm on my journey learning about all the functionality my Roadcrafter will bring to my riding. Hopefully I will never have to 'road test' it, but I can't wait for my next rain-ride. Get Some!
Great Experience! I called in to remotely buy an R-3. The Aerostich rep took my measurements through their web form, we chatted, she sent out a suit in my size from stock. I wanted wider legs, so i spent an hour on the phone with her. She got my custom order in, i shipped the "try on" suit back, and then 3 weeks later my custom suit with custom colors came in. I'm a cheap person, and this is the first time I've ever shelled out $1,600 after alterations and customcolors for my suit. I'm INCREDIBLY Satisfied, and I'm riding around for hours in 14-20 degree Fahrenheit weather in IL just using stacked wool under the suit, and Zippo hand warmers. I'm waiting for some heated gear to come in now that hooks up to the bike. The suit just oozes thoughtfulness and quality. Everything is top notch, and you can tell the people making these 1 take pride in their work, 2 ride and 3 build these suits like you are their best friend/loved one. My only nit-pick is that i would like to see CE ratings on the suits and materials. I'm comfortable wearing this because I've seen the suits survive crashes, but that would be a tiny little boost in confidence.
Areostitch makes the finest motorcycle riding suits available on planet Earth, right here in our very own Duluth, MN. Service is as good as it gets for humans in small business. Rest assured, they will BEND OVER BACKWARD to make sure you are properly fitted in whichever suit you buy. After three years of consideration, I chose the Darien and I'm thrilled. Before you buy a 1200$ suit from a major manufacturer who gets their labor in Taiwan, contact Areostitch. My buddies and I ride up the North Shore several times each year and rarely fail to visit.
Bought a 2 piece RoadCrafter in 1998. Still wearing it. Still waterproof. Mileage unknown but has to be over 100,000. I grew a bit over the years and they added 1" to each side. The liner deteriorated and they installed a new one plus the pads had deteriorated and they sell replacements. About $250. How many companies do that anymore? I wash it in NikWax as recommended.
Great products supported by great staff and a great company! If you are someone that rides a lot, or just wants easy to wear quality gear for short rides, you can't go wrong with their signature product, the Roadcrafter! I got into wearing a Roadcrafter in 2009 and since then my yearly mileage has increased pretty much every year to the point that last year I rode over 57,000 km / 35,000 miles. I can't see how I could so easily do that without the Roadcrafter I have a Roadcrafter R3 now.
I recently had to give up motorcycling due to medical issues and I miss my Aerostich R-3 as much as my bike. For many miles it kept me dry, warm/cool, and protected. It was super easy to put on and take off; the vents provide plenty of air and heated gear was easy to use underneath it. Rain was never an issue. I could go on and on, it was my favorite piece of gear next to their elk skin gloves. Customer service was also top notch as I continued to get gear from Aerostich. Top notch products!
Supreme fabric motorcycle gear. Inner foam padding. Gore-Tex and water proof. With plenty of pockets! The first one piece riding suit I bought in April of 2006. I have an estimate of 300,000 miles on that one. I purchased the Darien 2 piece for $1300.00 in 2018... maybe 60,000 miles under the motorcycles wheels.. Some have said that the prices are too high... 2006 was $700. I have said "Have you priced Ambulance ride and Emergency Care?". There is all sorts of motorcyclists' gear, from clothing to electric vests to tents. Great customer service Discounts IF you ride/drive there! Order the catalog.. see the sizing charts..and get out and ride... We have been doing Social Distancing for decades!
Staff are always knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. Aerostich products are second to none. Very happy with my Cousin Jeremy pants and jacket!
