My first visit was just a cleaning and it went great. The two people that did it were very kind and explained everything to me. That was easily a 5 star experience. Unfortunately I was waiting until today's visit to review, and today dropped it down a bit. I needed 3 fillings done. Before the fillings even began, I had 3 people come in and leave. Someone who set up the tools, someone who numbed me, and someone else I'm not sure who she was. None of them announced they would be leaving, they just disappeared and never came back. At some point the 3rd last mentioned needing the Dentist to come and I said "oh is that what we're waiting for?" And she said "yes, he's with another patient." Um, I arrived 10 minutes early to my appointment. Why was he with someone else when the place JUST opened? When my fillings began, the man who drilled my teeth also just got up and left when he was done and a woman sat down to fill them. I have never had this happen at any dentist I've ever been to. This woman did a fine job, but neither of them explained a single second of what they were doing, what was going on, or how long until they would be done. I specifically asked on the questionnaire you guys require, that people *explain what is happening* and they didn't even try. When I left I could taste blood, which was weird for fillings. I look in my mirror and I see that I am cut, on both sides of my gums for 3 different teeth. I did some Googling and apparently this can happen when they shove pieces between your teeth to separate them, which explains the intense pressure and sharp feelings I experienced that WERE NOT EXPLAINED TO ME. I would have liked to know that I now had open wounds in my mouth so I could know to go to the store and get some antibacterial mouthwash or something! Also, the lady who filled my fillings was starving and her stomach would not stop growling. It was only 9:30 AM and the place just opened at 8:30, did she not have time to eat before she came in? I'm not sure if they are just extremely over booked or if a lot of people have quit in the last few weeks, but this experience was off-putting.
Most of the people at Afdent are very nice and very helpful. With a couple exceptions. I have seen probably 10 or 12 different people when I’ve went in for adjustments, cleanings, a filling and so much more. I want to say how much I appreciate Hannah on the 3rd floor. Today she went back and forth out of her way to make my denture mold look good. Super nice gal. I want to say that I appreciate Jerome on the 3rd floor as well… he has made it a point to check on me and see how I’m doing and feeling about my teeth even when I’m not his patient for the day. You 2 rock. Thank you!
The best experience I've ever had at a dentist office! No waiting. The staff, from the front office to the doctors at the back were phenomenal. They're so friendly. Smiles on their faces from the moment I got through their doors to the time I was finished. They're definitely a family and they make you feel like you're part of the family! I've been looking for a dentist for a long time and I'm certainly sure I just found one that is on a different level from the rest! Afdent.. you guys are amazing! Thank you so much !
Few of the most professional people that I ever met. The dentist and hygienist that took care of me that day really empathize with you and understands your situation. They just not give you the best options but they genuinely give you the right advice when it comes to oral health. Candid but never intimidating. Thank you and I’m glad choose you as my dental provider.
I haven’t been to the dentist for years. I had an accident last week and lost 2 front teeth. I had a positive experience from check in through check out. My X-ray tech was sweet and professional. My dentist was aware of my fear and apprehension from previous experiences and he was very patient and kind. He explained what my plan of care was and did not say anything negative about how long it was since my last dental appointment. I was escorted to the waiting area to wait for impressions of my teeth. The young man who did the impressions was knowledgeable and explained everything he was doing. The dentist came in and spoke to me prior to fitting me for my flipper. Both men were caring and had to adjust the flipper a few times to get a good fit. I left Afdent with a beautiful smile and my family is going to transfer to Afdent.
Very happy with their service. For whatever reason, before we even started, my body decided to have some odd breathing/anxiety episode and they acted like it was nothing...as if this type of thing happens all the time. Maybe it does, but it’s not a normal thing for me. They were comforting, kind and very patient. These acts alone earned them the Five Star Review… And that’s on top of providing a literally pain free extraction and anesthesia. Thank everybody very much!
From the moment I walked in the door at Afdent, I was amazed at the professionalism and kindness of all the people working there. From the girls at the front desk to the dentist that performed my procedure, I was treated like they really cared. They were very thorough explaining everything and put me at ease. My regular dentist was closed till January and Dr. Braasch definitely came to my rescue! I will definitely be returning here for my dental care.
Your advertisement acts like you understand financial Issues. Well you don’t. You didn’t except my insurance no big deal. I needed my crown put back on. I’m not really paying attention trusting you’d just be doing what needs to be done. My original crown was fine all you had to do was put it back on. Then I was shown my bill and was told it had to Be taken care of before you’d continue almost $500 to put my original crown back on. At first I said ok I’d run down to my bank after it was on then that person left and. Went to get another person to let me know before you proceeded the bill needed to be taken care of. Come on tell me why I needed 7 x-rays and a panoramic x-ray. I didn’t need all that the dentist didn’t even look at those x-rays pushed the old crown back pulled it off and said we’re good get everything taken care of and we’ll bout it back on.
Went in for a root canal for my daughter. The first 2 dental assistants and the dentist himself were AMAZING. There was a third dental assistant that came in to help with X-rays. While she was in there she forced my daughter to stay down for an X-ray while she screamed, cried and puked. While trying to put the “curtain” back in her mouth my daughter started choking, basically suffocating because the rubber curtain had gone to the back of her throat and covered her esophagus. I yelled at the dental assistant that she was choking and her response was “well I have to get this done”. Right then and there I said they were to just extract the tooth. Once the one dental assistant left everything went smoothly. The other dental assistants and dentist himself were very polite, gentle and understanding. My daughter said she loved it and would definitely go back as long as she doesn’t have the one dental assistant. Afdent is a great place though- one bad apple doesn’t make the whole company bad.
I started my journey with Afdent back in 2017 and the staff was wonderful and caring since the very beginning. Now it’s 2022 my braces finally came off and I’m happy with the end result. Thank you!! So much for working hard and helping me bring my smile together.
