The mandate of the African Union Mission is to develop and promote relations with the US administration, undertake resource mobilization and consolidate constructive and productive institutional relationships between the African Union and Africans in the Diaspora, the Bretton Woods Institutions and other stakeholders.
The AU Mission is working closely with the African Diplomatic Corps to adopt and advance common positions in their relationships with the Americas. Engaging the African Diaspora is a fundamental priority for the AU Mission, and initiatives have been undertaken to ensure the Diaspora is being provided opportunities to connect with Africa.
