KHSD/ROC AG Food Science Class, est. August 2015, is about growing fresh fruits & veggies and expanding our culinary experiences.

Students enrolled in AG Food Science class at the Regional Occupational Center are learning how to grow fresh fruit trees and veggies. Members of our class are may also enjoy joint membership in FFA, FHA, 4H/Jr. Master Gardener Program and participate in student leadership training, competitions and earn their ServSafe Certificates/Food Handler's Card!
Also covered are the basics of Food Safety and Good AG Practices, and developing our own HACCP plan for the ROC Garden's Culinary Labs because - we are cooking! Tantalizing aromas are drifting from our classroom as we explore new recipes made with fresh ingredients from our own garden!!
Coming in Spring 2016: Students will learn & earn! Our fresh market stand at the ROC Garden will provide students with an opportunity to gain some entrepreneurial experience and earn some $$$. Here's our webpage: http://roc.kernhigh.org/programs/food-science/
