This management group took our money for an apartment that had problems. The apartment was infested for bed bugs and they said they would return our money but did not. We turned the keys back into them and they kept $6000.00. We are disputing and letting everyone know about this company. We should get back everything- plus what it cost to dis-infect our things. This was for the address 865 Collins Ave, # 312, Miami beach. Full Story: When moving I noticed in living room a large hole in the ceiling, no smoke detectors, dirty couch, no light bulbs and ect... Landlord's agent Vanessa, have promised to fix it asap and I gave the money: 3500$ to Vanessa, MCS Investments & Property Management, and 1500$ to my agent, Equity Realty SFL. Deposit was paid prior. Same day, i emailed 6 things that needed to be fixed to Vanessa, but it was never done. On September 3, sleeping there, my associated got bitten by bed bugs, sleeping on Landlord's mattress. Vanessa was notified same day and promised to call fumigation services asap and fix the property. we have vacated the property On September 8 it was still not done. Next day I have notified her that we do not wish to stay there and demanded a full refund. She met with my associated on September 11 and gave a 1500$ check her commission, according to her and took the property key. Moreover, she promised to deposit 4500$ to my account - “landlord’s portion” but she never did. Still today I have not received the rest of my money 6000$. Vanessa says, landlord's money are on the way 4500 and my agent should give his commissions back as well. My agent says, that landlord should compensate full 6000, as he is only a transactional broker.
