Great customer service. Salsa was on point! Tacos were cooked perfectly, enchiladas were delicious. Texas margaritas in the pitcher could have been a little stronger. All and all, a great place. Will probably return tomorrow fornour last night in town. Great service and great prices.

Was blown away by the amazing food. Everything was so good and portion sizes are huge. Our server was also very nice and courteous which made us feel very welcomed. This restaurant definitely stands out in Athens.

Great local place for a bite of hot delicious Mexican fare. The chips are warm the salsa usually comes out with two or three varieties and you can get all or choose your favorite. We usually get the cheese dip as well. You can choose large or small. Small is good for 2-3 people. I usually go for the burrito and just tell them what I want. They have several pre-configured options but I just tell them the way I want it and it shows up. I have had the fajitas and they are excellent. My son gets the three taco special. We have no complaints about the food. It's hot and savory American / Mexican food. Service is usually excellent. Lots of refills on drinks and chips. The food comes out pretty quickly as well. It does get crowded on the weekends around dinner time. But that just indicates it's a good place to be! It can be a bit noisy inside but nothing that stops conversation. There are usually some big parties and almost always somebody is having a birthday! Again it is a popular destination with flexible seating, good food, and friendly service. It's going to get crowded! There is an outside dining area adjacent to the parking lot. The parking lot can get a little crowded but extends to an adjacent bank that is closed during dinner hours. There is a sidewalk that goes through the middle of the parking lot so you don't have to risk getting run over by overzealous hungry people. Athens does have some good Mexican restaurants. This is one of the better ones. It's also a great location.

Me and my boyfriend came here to eat a light lunch…big mistake. Portions are HUGE, they definitely do not skimp on the quality and quantity. Prices are really reasonable. We came during their lunch special, and ordered the chilaquiles, tacos, and a chimichanga. I got full from just the free chips I couldn’t stop eating . Saving the rest for dinner. Hands down best place resturant in Athens. THE SERVICE THO I gotta say our server was so sweet and kind. I loved everything about this place.

The food was amazing good. Service excellent. Chips and salsa kept coming till our meals arrived. We were surprised how uncrowded the place was at noontime. And, everyone that was there was spaced out evenly. Would definitely recommend this place esp for lunch.

The roasted salsa was delicious! The meat in our tacos and burrito was a bit dry, but I poured queso all over it and it helped. Haha The service was great.

This place is mediocre at best. The salsa is great but the taco meat was very dry and so was the chicken in my girlfriend's burrito. My food arrived at the table Luke warm and wasn't what I ordered. The staff is friendly though.Food: 3/5

The food was decent but nothing to write home about. The portion size was wayyy to small for the price of the plates IMO. Not worth the money. Additionally someone in our party ordered a beer and it took over 15 mins for it to come, he ended up canceling it.Recommended dishes

There are many better choices for Mexican food here in Athens. The last two times we have been to Agua Linda there have been serious concerns. Besides service being slow, poor customer service, etc there has been food concerns which were ignored. A reasonable person would assume if the food took a long time to come out it was due to being prepared fresh but not here. The food takes forever to come out and when it does it is cold, grease has gotten gelatinous/solidified in the food and the presentation is a haphazard plate of food almost mixed together. Again, this is not the first instance but an ongoing concern. In addition, two of the three meals ordered the meal was cold and not cooked and when brought to the servers attention they whisked the plate away without a word. A manager returns to the table and explains the meal was inspected and is good instead it becomes our fault for not understanding how the prepared meat should taste or be presented. Wait, there is more, yesterday we ordered and the meat was rancid smelling. We were told the meat in all the dishes ordered was acceptable to the cook and the manager stated the issue was the “onions’. She continued an attempt to convince our eating party that the rancid meat was due to onions which “sat in the bottom of a container” that may or may not have developed a bad taste and odor. Hmm, two of our dishes had no onions so I find fault in their logic. As quick as the rehearsed explanation was given the manager disappeared from table side to avoid any further discussion or questions. This restaurant is extremely over-priced for what you get possible food poisoning included and what you pay for… I try not to vent complaints in the open I would rather address it with staff and such and just not comment about a restaurants poor performance. I would rather save my response to be positive and to encourage others to visit the best restaurants. Needless to say We Will NOT return.
