A very nice spot for a walk or riding your bike on the West fork Trinity River trail. No playground there only picnic tables in shade area and get to walk under a jet wings it’s a incredible view. Wanted to see the water fall but it haven’t been raining so it wasn’t a heavy water fall. Rode the trail all the way to downtown Fort Worth took bout 35min on class 2 e-bike Restrooms: Clean portal potty Picnic area: Plenty of picnic table and grass area in the shade
I love running here. It’s my go to because it’s near by. Small creek I often see families bring their kids to splash in the water. That’s pretty much all you can do as far as water activities. Picnic and splash in the water. You have to make sure there’s actual rainfall during the summer because if it’s a year like 2022 summer it was very dry, you won’t see a waterfall and the water will be still. Oh and forgot to mention great photo shoot spot, I see photographers and families often. Hope this helps!
My rating is based on the fact that we found this park while searching on a site for “trail runs,” and this park does not offer that. It is, however, a nice stop for a stroll off the usual Trinity River path and has some historic as well as ecological information we found interesting. The shade near the falls was nice, but the falls has dwindled substantially by mid-July. I’m not sure what the falls look like in rainier seasons. The butterfly trail is likely spectacular during wildflower season, and we did have some wonderful turtle watching while there Picnic area: Nice covered area with tables and seating
A great place for dog walks and strolls. I come here all the time when I want to do an easy 2 mile run or take my dog out. Must have your dogs on a leash
Thoroughly enjoyed walking/jogging here. Super pretty and a great place to take some family pictures. The trail is really easy here.
It's really lovely. Free park. Plenty of benches and tables to picnic. Very well marked walking paths. Waterfall is wheelchair accessible to those whom it may matter to; there's a double side sidewalk from the parking lot to the waterfall and beyond. There's a few military crafts set up around as well which are fun to look at. Port-o-potty and water bottle refill stations on site.
This place was so nice. Plenty of space to sit with shade. Multiple walkers on a paved/limestone path I think. Beautiful scenery all over the place. Took lots of pics.
Had a nice date here. Walked the paths some, took some photos, and spent time at the water fall. With all the rains it is at a great level to wade and swim. This is a nice place to take your kids to play, go for a picnic, and has many shaded areas. The rains also have washed a lot of trash along the edge of the water, could definitely use some clean up.
Unique location among the trails I’ve walked along the Trinity River. After a rain, the small waterfall is worth a visit. The entrance features a history of the area, and the shaded trail along the way to the falls are full of seasonal wildflowers and butterflies. Past the falls, the trail opens up and makes its way to other parts of the city. Paved for walking, running and biking. Family friendly.
Great 30+ minute walk. The trail starts at an “airfield” styled parking lot. If you head over the bridge, that is near the decommissioned aircraft, and follow the path, you will be met with a beautiful rock spillway. The path is great for walking or biking.
