Don’t bother going anywhere else! Staff are knowledgeable, friendly, professional and not pushy at all. I was able to buy a washer and dryer that fit my needs perfectly, for a reasonable/competitive price, and that were in stock! Delivery was scheduled for same week. Bought the 5-year warranty because it’s an amazing package that truly indicates their emphasis on customer care. Worked with Wendy who is so knowledgeable and super helpful.
It feels to me that Airport Home Appliance is happy to take the customer's money, and doesn't care to make sure that the customer is buying the right thing. Two of the appliances I bought didn't fit, but there wasn't a word of warning on the salesperson's part that appliance sizes weren't standardized or may have changed in the 30+ years since I bought the originals. It took 54 weeks to get the dishwasher I ordered and paid for. I only got it delivered by going to the store to find out what was happening. I understand that there were supplier problems, but when the dishwasher became available they didn't call to schedule the delivery. The price had gone up, so I suspect they'd rather sell the newly arrived units to people willing to pay that higher price than customers who had been waiting for more than a year for their order.
It’s not often that a company exceeds my expectations, but Airport Home Appliances did in every respect. My salesperson, Abby, was personable, knowledgeable and efficient. When I had an issue, she reacted immediately. Making sure she could give me the best price possible, she consulted with her manager who also was responsive and decisive. Delivery came within two days and I’m now a very happy customer! Competing with big box retailers is not easy in today’s market. AHA has figured that out and I’ll sing their praises to all my friends.
My refrigerator stopped working and I arrived at Airport Appliance and had wonderful service and was able to purchase a new fridge and have installed quickly. The prices were competitive and overall I had a great experience. I have purchased many appliances here in the past and have always been well beyond satisfied! The space allocated for my fridge had very specific constraints and the person who helped me was able to pick out the fridge that would just fit in the space. Very thankful and very pleased.
Bought a Bosch refrigerator September 2022 and discovered months later that the installers did not completely get the plastic off the side of the refrigerator. Called and left messages, even went in person but so far NOTHING. I would not recommend purchasing any appliance through Airport Home Appliance. Ironically because I did not notice this mistake till much later, I gave them a very good review when they sent me a survey form. I have more appliance to order, lucky for me the salesperson that helped me with the refrigerator ignored my email requesting for specs. I will not be returning to Airport Appliance for my appliance needs.
The intent of this review isn't to bash the company but there are things lacking in their business that make the customer experience a bit frustrating. In my example, I put in an order for multiple premium appliances over $10,000 and had been given some ETAs on delivery times sometime in a few months up to a year. It would be great if these folks gave me a follow up call to let me know how things are doing or if shipment got delayed. But it's often me call in to determine what the status is of my order and understand why things are not scheduled? Sometimes it would be difficult to even get a call in transferred without anyone picking up phone which results in restarting the call with centralized call center. Wish they had some online message system where we can get some prompt responses to things like this or simple questions. They must have a lot of sales volume that keeps them busy and maybe customer retention isn't their priority. Their practice seems a bit dated because personal visit is sometimes the only way to get their attention. Also, their appliance install service is probably not the best unless it's free/included. When they installed my dishwasher, they left it not so "leveled" so I went in and adjusted it myself a bit and found out that one of the key mounts at the top were not locking securely to the dishwasher correctly. and furthermore, the dishwasher wastewater plumping connected to my main sink leaked/broke after 6 months because they used a universal rubber hose with clamps on both ends. I decided to just spend $20 at the local hardware store to fix the problem myself with a correct adapter and re-enforced it with copper pipe instead of just rubber.
I went into the Redwood City location and purchased a washing machine from them on a Sunday. I made an appointment to have it delivered, set up and the old one hauled away the following Friday and received a text from them on Thursday letting me know it would be delivered between 12pm-4pm which I confirmed by reply text. My husband stayed home from work, we moved around a bunch of items in our garage to make a clear path for the delivery, and unattached our old washer in preparation for the new washer. We sat around and waited...and waited...and waited. After 4pm, I called the store and was told that "Oh, your delivery was cancelled because the washer couldn't be found." When I asked why we were not contacted, I was told "oh, your sales person is not working on Thursdays or Fridays so there was no one to contact you." ARE YOU SERIOUS!!!!! THERE IS NO ONE AT THE STORE WHO COULD HAVE PICKED UP THE PHONE TO CALL US AND LET US KNOW OUR WASHER WAS NOT BEING DELIVERED????? When I asked to speak to a manager, I was told "Oh, there is no manager here today Friday." ARE YOU SERIOUS??? NO MANAGER AVAILABLE, EVEN ON-CALL, ON A FRIDAY??? I expect this from a Home Depot or Lowe's, but I was really expecting better or honestly ANY customer service, from a more local company. I even tried to call the Corporate office in Hayward, but the phone just rang and rang and I was finally automatically transferred to a general voicemail box. So now, they have my money and I have no washer nor any idea when I might get my washer, or even if I ever will.
Found exactly what we needed with Tai’s knowledgeable expertise. He helped us narrow down the massive inventory to just the right model. Delivery and installation was 2 days later- the technicians were awesome at moving the giant refrigerator and had it all beautifully set up in no time. We are extremely pleased with our experience at Airport Home Appliance.
Mohammed Greeted us asked if he could help us and after describing what I was looking for, he showed us exactly what I needed . He was very patient we me because I needed measurements of the cabinet of the refrigerator. He also Showed us another refrigerator which was a little smaller. And would definitely fit into my house. But actually did not like the style. When I got home, I double checked my measurements on my door and I had to call him back. And he responded with the measurements that I needed which. I'm very happy that everything's going to fit into the house.
Absolutely the best appliance shopping experience of my life. Jigme was informative, helpful and patient. At no point during the process did I feel rushed or ignored. I can’t imagine going back to one of the big box stores ever again after this experience.
