Airport

We drove around this airport as we made our way to Westerly, RI. It seemed like low key, small airfield. Lots of little buildings and small Cessna-like planes. What stood out for me were these two helicopters. I’m not sure why they were there.

Our crew arrived at Groton-New London airport GON and we needed some assistance with our aircraft. Both, John at JT Aviation and Andrew with Columbia Air Services went above and beyond to assist us with our needs. There professionalism was much appreciated and we highly recommend them both if you are ever in the Groton area.

Food is awesome here! Friendly waitstaff makes you feel like they are happy to have you! Unfortunately this place has closed.

this is a wonderful municipal airport. the mystic jet center is a very accommodating fbo. nice people and great service. there is a great flight school here coastal aviation as well as a private charter service called action airlines. they fly piper Seneca and piper Navajo. great for trips to Boston Manhattan block islan or the Vinyard. ryan Gauthier is the owner operator and their service is great and the rates are reasonable.

Nice little airport. Easy in and easy out. Plus the Army aircraft maitanence facility is based there. TASMG

Food is homemade....Sooo good....a hidden gem...owners are awesome....view is so cool better than looking at prking lot or street. Give it a test fly.
