Hunt Field is the busiest General Aviation Airport in the State of Wyoming. Its Runway measures 5000 ft x 100 ft. As of 2014 there were over 65 aircraft based at Hunt Field. There are several projects scheduled at the airport starting in 2016. The runway is scheduled to be either milled and overlayed or reconstructed in the summer of 2016, when the repaving is completed there will be new MIRL LED runway lighting installed. The full length taxiway is planned to be relocated to the west approximately 85 ft. in 2017.The taxiway will also be getting MITL LED lights when the paving portion of the project is finished. More work is scheduled to begin in 2019. The aircraft parking apron will be reconstructed and a new hangar taxilane will be constructed so that the airport can accommodate new hangar construction.
