Absolutely a wonderful experience. Got my haircut with AJ who seems to be extremely organized as he balances appointments and cutting hair at the same time. All barbers here are engaged with their customers having conversations and cutting hair. Haircut was exactly what was asked for…conversation was pleasant. Recommend to anyone in the area to stop by and get a trim or cut.
5 stars! This is the only barber shop I take my son to in Harrisonburg ,every time that I’ve been they have been quick very kind and professional, the music is a plus! Been to every shop in town, and I have a big curly afro so hard to find people patient enough to work with it. Everyone from the owner, reception, and workers are always top notch. Guy who cut my hair was a teenager and cut my hair better than most people doing it for 20+ years. Good people and good haircuts.
AJ cut my hair and shaped my beard for my wedding day, and he did an excellent job! The shop is clean and professional and I walked out looking and feeling my best. I got so many compliments on my beard lines and the photos all look great! Highly recommend.
What can I say about this place? This was the best haircut I have ever received. They trimmed up my mullet perfectly. My hair went from looking like a bush to something seen straight out of the met gala. Jossian,12/10 hands down the best barber I’ve ever had. I’m a freshman at JMU and finding where to get a haircut was tough. I eventually decided on AJ’s and I’ll tell you what these boys will get you right. The shop has a fun atmosphere and if you book online there is no wait. I’ll definitely be heading back there in the future.Service: Scissor cut
Guys if you’re ever in the area check AJ’s out. Not only does Him and his staff do a top notch job with the hair cuts, they also have the best hospitality. Their expertise allows them to cut every hair texture for sure. The owner Aj also does an awesome job with ensuring that his staff is up to date with new techniques. A++++ highly recommended.
Personable! Thoughtful. Skilled. Efficient. Cost effective. Great music as well. This is the place ya looking for! Your search is over; found it! I'd been hearing good things about this place and finally gave it a go when my son visited. I find where he'll be getting cuts from now on. Would I recommend? Absolutely YES! Would I return? Yes! Well honestly, I can't speak highly enough about this shop. It was going full force and still had people waiting to get a cut from their favorite but we were able to just walk right in and sat within moments. Very happy with this shop
I'm new to the area, and a friend recommended I take my son to get his hair here. Man, the level of professionalism we literally stepped inside is grade A. The care they put in their craft is amazing. This was my son first haircut, and the barber did a get job and had great suggestions. I'm 10000% coming back.
I have been to Aj’s BarberShop a 5 or 6 times. I have personally gotten more bad haircuts than good haircuts. Maybe I am not doing a good job communicating with my barber. But it is annoying getting a bad haircut for 30$ I know that Aj’s Barbershop gives good haircuts. Everyone around me that I looked at was getting a fresh cut. But I normally don’t get fresh cuts from Aj’s.
