Alice Keshmeshian
Licensed Professional Counselor, M.S., PhD(c), LPC
I use a collaborative approach with clients to help increase their self-awareness. I believe that although there may be similarities in the experience of various life difficulties people face, it is imperative to look at how each person's distinct life history has influenced current struggles. My goal is to help clients gain a better understanding of their past and identify barriers to assist them in being better equipped to resolve current and future difficult life situations.
I enjoy working with individuals, couples, and families to strengthen communication and increase the quality of their relationships. I provide a compassionate, honest, nonjudgmental environment in order for clients to express themselves freely and have the opportunity to gain personal growth for a more fulfilling life.
I earned my Masters of Science Degree in Clinical Psychology from Capella University in 2007. I received 2 Bachelor's Degrees in Psychology and Child Development from California State University Northridge in 2004.
I have had the privilege of receiving training, and later being hired as a Clinician III at Pikes Peak Mental Health (PPMH) in Colorado Springs, now called Aspen Pointe. My experience included working with adults, couples, and families. I facilitated the Body Image Group and co-facilitated Dialectical Behavior Therapy Group on a weekly basis. I have experience facilitating Anger Management; Improving Relationships; Mind Over Mood on an as needed basis. In addition, I have experience working for Star View Adolescent Center in California, a residential center for emotionally traumatized teens between the ages of 12 - 17. I have worked with clients of varying ages, ethnic, religious, and socioeconomic backgrounds with a diverse range of diagnoses and severity of conditions. I look forward to getting to know you and working with you on obtaining your goals.
