Islamic Center "Al-Noor" Waterloo-Cedar Falls was established over forty five years ago to serve the Islamic community and its neighbors.
The Waterloo-Cedar falls Islamic Community Center-Masjid Al-Noor was established over thirty five years ago to serve a small Islamic community in the Cedar Valley area. The number of Muslim families and individuals has grown dramatically during the past 15-20 years through the influx of refugees from Bosnia. Our community is made up of students, businessmen, professors, doctors and engineers. Employers include, university of Northern Iowa, John Deere Co., Rockwell Collins, local and state government institutions. The first of the Islamic Center was a small apartment on 20th street in Cedar Falls, Iowa. In 1994 we moved to West Second Street in Waterloo Iowa and on February 14th 2011, we moved to our new building at 2110 Sager Ave. Waterloo Iowa.
