We were here on 8/4/23. This place was absolutely amazing! We arrived mid-afternoon. It was 98°, with a heat index of 105°, and even with the crazy heat, THERE WAS SO MUCH ACTION!! We took the advice of others on here, and brought a large bag to dump food into, to help ration it out. Otherwise, it would have been gone quickly!! We would absolutely recommend this as a must stop for anyone, young or old! Absolute A+ experience that we would be excited to do again if we are ever in tje area! Including gift shop, safari, and quick walk around the walking area, we spent a little over 2 hours here.
New favorite! This place is great. Honestly, I wasn’t expecting it to be as legit as it was, but I’m here to tell ya, they’ve outdone themselves with this whole setup! I think it was well worth the money. We were here mid-day in august and got to interact with probably every species here. The giraffes were friendly and I love that nothing is micromanaged. It’s all very open-air, and free to come and go, yet it’s still safe I have toddlers. There is TONS of shade in the park area. Perfect for a picnic! Love love loved it!
This place was such a very cool experience. Your general admission is good all day and you can go through the safari as many times as you'd like. Food buckets are $5 each but it's so worth it to feed some of these amazing animals. Absolute blast driving through and seeing all the beautiful animals up close and personal.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNot surePrice for adult entry$21–30
We had an amazing day here! We took our three teenagers for the day. We rode in the back of the truck while my husband drove, we all were able to interact with so many animals! To be able to be so close to the animals and feed them was so cool! The camel's stole a few of the feed buckets! They are so strong!!!!! Unbelievably cool experience! We feed the giraffes my favorite animals! The bungee birds enclosure is super cool! I recommend getting the sticks for the birds. Then the twins went to sloth encounter for their birthday. So highly recommend
O.m.g! I love this place! We saw zebras, and water buffaloes, and ostriches .. ooh, and TWO sloths. And giraffes, and, and ... so much more. This is an adventure worth taking. Do it - you won't be sorry! Also, zebra snot is easy to wash off the car door, just in case you were wondering.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNot surePrice for adult entry$21–30
Perfect for kids or people with mobility issues since it's all from the comfort of your car. Great year round for something to do. Just don't feed the camels... they steal the entire bucket of feed.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entry$21–30
Amazing experience. Buying the tickets was so easy. You literally drive up to the window, and buy tickets & food for the animals. Beautiful scenery & animals. Definitely worth it!Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entry$31+
Visited recently on a nice sunny Saturday afternoon. It’s a wonderful experience. You definitely want to buy food to have for the animals. The llamas are the most curious and eager to eat. Be prepared for them to stick their heads in your car. The zebras and the bison were also happy to take the food. I’d bring a towel or napkins because you will most likely get slobbered on. It easily takes 45 min or longer to drive through. Be sure the check out the aviary afterwards. It was worth buying a small stick of bird seed and having the parakeets land on your hand to eat. Overall it’s definitely worth a trip, especially if you are in Montgomery - it’s very close.
We had a blast! The animals are all very social and fun to observe and feed. Our family will definitely be returning.
My family and I had a blast at the safari zoo today. Worth the price. Feeding the giraffes at the end was my favorite. This was a great way to end our vacation in Alabama!!!!Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedYesPrice for adult entry$31+
