I am saddened, frustrated, and my heart breaks. I live in the Northeast community, a lot of parents do NOT HAVE a way of transportation. Day in and out children are missing school because of a LAST MINUTE, COLD, phone calls that states “no driver”. This is unacceptable. These kids do not deserve that. What about the parents who literally have no way to get their child or children to school. This is an issue that is being taken way too lightly. I’ve lived in Palm Beach County majority of my life. NEVER was there any nonsense like this. At this point the students might as well return back to digital learning .
First day of school and bus 1403 shows up 20 minutes late to the wrong stop and then drops my six year old off ALONE, three feet away from an active rail road track IN BETWEEN BUS STOPS because the lazy, impatient driver can't be bothered to double check his route. Update: they returned my daughter to her school after showing up almost half an hour earlier than usual without calling us. Called MS. HAGEN, who is massively rude and had an inflated sense of self importance, and she claims that she has no knowledge of the several instances of the buses dropping my daughter off in the wrong location with no supervision this year. She claimed she's the only one to pick up dispatch's phone while in the same breath yelling that she's only there on the weekends due to family, all because I said "you guys" as in the transportation department, rather than Kimberly Hagan, supervisor of all Alachua county school buses. We have had nothing but issues with Ms. Hagan for the two years my daughter has attended Alachua county public schools. She's evidently incapable of scheduling stops, is overly confused by IEPs and their irrelevance to her buses, and is excessively aggressive to parents. I am genuinely concerned that she's going to retaliate against my child for this.
Dont return voicemail. Worst route, bus breaks down, kids puke and crap their pants, students must breathe it in, walk in it to exit bus, if i do get help when i call i get told multiple different stories about same problem.bus is late, brreaks down. I am trying to change busses but cannot get a human being who will assist me! Seems like they just dont care! So sad. Starting to feel discriminated against? Or is sit just that they feel they dont have to answer to anyone?
ok so basically they moved all of the magnet program bus stops to the closest schools. this is extremely inconvenient to me. i called the transportation department for verification and they were so rude! the hold time for me was half an hour. this is absolutely pathetic.
It’s funny how bus driver of 1004 doesn’t have a single minute with a child running to the bus stop to wait and let the child board the bus, but can stop and chit chat with her friend for 10 minutes, on the way to school while leaving the kids on the bus. Terrible! Did she think the kids wouldn’t tell there parents eventually? I am school board bound!
It’s good, but it could definitely be improved. Maybe getting better substitutes would help since there have been many cases of them just be totally oblivious of the route. They ask the kids, who probably have no idea.
Very poor attitudes, they including supervisors lack professionalism and concern. They seem to be there to collect a paycheck, not the safety of your children.
