The Store manager and assistant manager here are extremely rude, unpleasant and unprofessional. They yelled at me, I purchased a large item and they told me they'd store it for me for 48 hours. When I returned a day and a half later, they charged me an extra $30.
I used to drop off used clothes and shoes into AHHR donation boxes Westside Park, which is close to my home, but today I found it was gone. I googled it and found several others near my address, I drove to these indicated locations, unfortunately all are gone. Obviously these information from google are out of date. And I cannot find any useful information/notices from the organization website. No convenient drop boxes for donation now around Gainesville City anymore? Probably true. They may already change the business style. All pick up by phone APPOINTMENT or re-Store drop? I did not update these information on their website. So when you used Google, you probably still FIND a lot of drop boxes around the city, but actually all drop-boxes are gone, ZERO on the ground. The organization should do better job to let people know it, at least put a notice to show the updated information. BAD feeling.
Lots of great goodies throughout the store to include a great selection of gently used home and office furniture, appliances, building materials, housewares, books, seasonals, collectables and so much more at really good prices. Stop by and find your treasure.
I’ve been here several times in the last few years. Helpful staff, wide selection and reasonable prices. I’ve picket up some glassware, pottery, books and decor. The have an ever changing selection of furniture.
This thrift store has some nice stuff. Expensive, but the money goes towards a good cause. However, I have never been treated so rudely in an establishment where I am meant to spend money. Today I went in at 3:50 they close at 4 to do a quick run through and see if they had any bedside tables. I get off work at 3:30, otherwise I would have come in earlier. They told me they were closing but they still had about 10 people in the store. I said no problem I just want to do a quick lap. Manager I assume threw her arms up in frustration and stomped away. She then proceeded to go on the megaphone and announce that everyone bring their final purchase to the front. Then someone cut off all the lights so that you couldn’t see anything. I ran out of the store at that point and looked down at the time on my phone. This all took place in the matter of a minute because it was still 3:50 when I got in my car. Literally will never step foot in this thrift store again. I don’t have high standards for thrift stores but...wow.
You can find furniture here that is all wood for reasonable prices. They also have a nice array of books.
If you haven't been here for a year or two, you will be surprised at the changes in the store space. First, the H for H offices have moved out of the front part of the space, almost doubling the size of the sales floor. Second, the showroom is not nearly as crowded as it was. It is clean, well organized and has a good selection of repurposed merchandise. I was particularly impressed with the furniture available. It is not the typical thrift store furniture that is made from pressed board and screwed together. They were selling ogg all of their Christmas goods at a 90% discount. All in all, a very nice thrift store, however, there are better stores to shop for clothing.
Awesome selection of furniture and appliances. They have two truckloads of donations per day so there are always new things. Everything in their store is discounted 25% after being in the store one month, 50% after 2 months in the store, and 75% off if it lasts for 3 months in the store.
Most of the furniture is high-quality just slightly refurbished and they're very friendly I only wish I discovered it b4, I went to Goodwill. I was really impressed actually with the prices and the overall look of the store! I bought a dining room table for $120 plus a $50 delivery charged. I saw an identical one at Pottery Barn for $964, minus The chairs. I consider the delivery charge well worth it, cuz Goodwill is like "oh well figure it out" once you've bought a piece of furniture. They don't even help you load it onto your car.
It's absolutely great. The only stupid thing is that this one offers no help on loading heavy items. I had to help two elderly couples with some things because there was "nobody" to help them.
