Dropped off our rental car on May 5. I spoke with Miguel over the phone and he was great. He stayed on the phone with me the entire time I was trying to navigate to get the the drop off parking garage. Super easy, in/out in a few min. Friendly staff.

My girlfriend and I were in a bind and had already made reservations at several hotels in/ near Yosemite, Fresno, Grand Canyon Kingman, AZ, and Vegas, so we went ahead and booked the cheapest rental we could find. Ultimately, we were directed to this Alamo building. I called the night before and was worried they might overcharge or have some hidden fees they "forgot" to mention, but they were true to the word and exceptionally helpful and friendly. This was the best experience I have ever had with a car rental company. I paid no drop off fee, was able to choose my insurance options, and was asked many a time if I was needed help with anything. I read some of the negative reviews on this building and I don't know how someone could say anything negative about this place. Sure, I waited a little bit for my car, but it was nothing crazy like 2 hours. 30 minutes at most. In a world where you can just surf the internet at whim to distract you, 30 minutes is nothing in exchange for exceptional service. I cannot rave enough about the quality service I received here. For a college kid on an extremely tight budget, this was like manna from heaven. Please, disregard any negative review you see and trust me. This place is worth your time and business.

The office was really busy during that morning. They had only 2 representatives , which caused a long wait for all customers. My name was on the list of customers with a reservation , but it didn't made a difference in the waiting time. Then after that the young girl that gave us car was very attentive. She told us we had to wait 20 min for the car to be ready , so we next door for a coffee and then she came in looking for us because the car was ready before the 20 min , so that was nice of her. The mini van we got was almost new in very good shape and worked perfectly we really liked it. Thanks!

Mel manager and staff were great! An unanticipated parade nearby prevented me from returning the car to the main garage, so I had to park the car at a meter spot nearby. Mel was very understanding and waived the late penalty. Car was super clean and drove great. Convenient location too!

Best Alamo location in San Francisco. Every time I go to this location they're professional, friendly, prompt, and about business. P and the whole staff deserve every accolade they get from their customers. Also, its easy to get in and out this location when you're renting a vehicle or returning a vehicle. Also, NO DEPOSIT unlike most rental car place that require you to put a deposit down. Alamo just charges your credit card the cost of the rental and any liability you get. Highly recommended.

We hired a car back in early May and were overall very satisfied. We give this experience 5 stars mainly due to the exceptional service we received from Pegene. She was so wonderfully cheerful and helpful - and on a Sunday morning! She is to be commended for her excellent customer skills. Thank you so very much!!

45 minutes to get the key of my car while I booked on internet and gave all my data already, low service level, asked for my flight ticket number on top of my credit card info as if I was going to leave the country without giving the car back, and forced me to take the insurance while their contract says it is optional, they would not give me the car otherwise. Worst car rental experience ever.

I had a very nice experience with this Alamo dealer.  Great service and the manager went to the basement to show us our car.  The full size Sonata averaged 36 miles a gallon on our trip up the coast from San Francisco to Seattle.  Everything was great and they didn't charge a drop off fee.

It was a bloody nightmare. After 100 miles the engine warning light went on. We called the roadside assistance. During 3 Days and about 3 hours of time on the phone they were not able to organize a exchange car. We were forced to drive about 350 miles trough death valley with a „damaged“ engine. Let‘s see if the folks in Las Vegas are able to exchange the car.  Additonal: very long waiting on the line.  Positive: People in the call center were friendly but could not help.
