Small but appropriately priced admission; even the gift shop was refreshingly reasonable compared to most zoo gift shops. Lots of picnic tables, half or so with good shade. Nice playground but was closed for renovation at time of my visit-really would make it like a pleasant walk in the park.
This place is a little slice of heaven- not a huge place, but it's like having your own private zoo if you go during the weekday. I recommend going early and you can see the animals eat breakfast. Very affordable 1 senior,1 adult 1 child and 1 toddler was $9an excellent deal compared to other zoos ive been toand the animals all look well cared for.
For the price and what they have it's ok hadn't been there in over 30 yrs lost lots of animal's but sorry to see it going down. But for 2.00 a person my grandsons sure liked it took literally 15 mins to go through it all.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entry$1–5
Admission is super affordable. I love that the zoo is like a walk in the park. The monkeys were adorable and very interactive. You can feed the ducks which is behind the gift shop. The zoo doesn’t have a whole bunch of exotic animals at larger zoos but it’s still worth a trip. My family loved it.
Cute little zoo with a fun variety of rescued animals. It's definitely worth the stop for the $4 admission! Great for the kiddos, too!Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entry$1–5
We went on a Tuesday afternoon and it wasn't busy but it definitely wasn't empty. The zoo itself takes about 20-30 mins, depending on your speed, to go through but they have a huge park and playground there which was nice. Everyone was super helpful and the price was low. Looks like they are adding on some more displays. Overall a good experience and fun way to spend part the day. We'll be back soon.
New Mexico's smallest Zoo is a perfect place for a short daytime activity. Whether you have kids, other plans, or just not a lot of time, this is a great way to bring a smile to everyone's face for a cheap price in a short amount of time.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entry$1–5
Awesome time! What the zoo lacks in size makes up for with it's interactiveness with the animals and green environment. My daughter loved the waterfall with all the ducks and turtles. The possibility to feed the animals really made this experience superb! The ring tailed lemars were so active and responsive. The trail map claimed it to be only .7 miles but the amount of time we spent at each exhibit had us there for almost 2 hours which flew by. Highly recommend for family's with small children.
Wonderful smaller zoo. Lots of different animals & places to sit. Cheap admission, which is great. Wish the animals had more space, but other than that seems okay.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entry$1–5
The city worker came out yelling at 3 and 4 year olds ruining our vacation and I never experiences such rude individual and beyond over the top unprofessional behavior. I’m not sure how someone can remain employed after treating very young kids like this, but the zoo itself would likely have been enjoyed if he had not ruined it. Please make sure you create a policy of kindness and inclusion and not ranting at children. On behalf of a 1, 3 and 4 year old disappointed set of kiddos.
