Alamo Shape Yoga offers multi-level, hatha/vinyasa flow yoga classes. Paired together with soft lighting, motivating music, and occasionally ambient candles and the calming scents of essential oils.
Please bring your own mat, if you have it, or take a pick from the community mat selection.
Props, such as blocks and straps, are always available if preferred and are sometimes used throughout an occasional class.
Class Times Are:
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday mornings from 8:15am-9:15am for Women.
Monday and Wednesday evenings from 7:45pm-8:45pm for CoEd.
Yoga strengthens the core, balances the body's muscles and increases flexibility which helps tremendously in preventing injuries from daily activities and other exercise activities.
Our class is ideal for those who have encountered past injuries that flair up every now and then, or even current/chronic physical issues. As each student moves at his or her own pace, each practice is uniquely catered to you using as many or as little modifications as you choose.
Both of our instructors always make sure each student is in the correct alignment for every posture, and help you make adjustments if needed. Please, let us know of any and all discomforts or painful movements! It is our belief that everyone should feel challenged but never hurt during our time together!
There is never any pressure, competition or judgement in yoga. Always listen to your body, and respect what it is that your muscles, bones and mind are telling you. Everyday is different, every hour is different and every yoga class is different. Allow yourself to be exactly where you are, present in the moment, and accepting of how your body chooses to move each day.
