No one wants to be here for service. However, every staff member I have interacted with has been nothing but friendly and helpful. Came in to the ER and the first person we talked to was Susan Upright and she was friendly and super helpful. The ER was crowded but it appeared that she and the staff were doing what they could to accommodate everyone in the ER to the best of their abilities. The ER staff member Cody Yates was another standout! Very helpful and encouraging. He answered questions and assisted in moving me around since I had limited mobility. After that, I saw many different staff members. All helpful. All friendly. Thank you Albany Med for doing a great job.
I was just in ICU at Albany med for 3 days, and I couldn’t have asked for a better group of nurses. They were so caring and helpful! Made my stay not so bad. Everyone on the floor was simply amazing!
I would like to thank everyone in this Albany Med ..hospital.. For They're great job. ... My husband passed away... It's sad... But I am happy The way everyone treated him... With love and compassion... I spend most of my time there With him. And I will like to say thank you to everyone... in whatever way you has done for himm....
I wish I could take this star away. Only send your family members here if you want them to die. The worst treatment every. Never see medical staff after check in. You haven't been feeding my brother nor giving him liquids. My brother is there for cardiac issues and you still have him still sitting in a hall. He was transferred there with the promise of a bed. You have a lot covid patients there and don't have yhem separated from critical patients. The list can go on.
One of the worst hospitals I have ever been to. Came to visit one of our dying uncles, yet they wouldn't let us in, saying too many people are here. Talk about empathy, there's none. Hospitals shouldn't be like this. It is unacceptable behavior towards the families and friends. The hospital managements must look into this and train employees to be more empathic and have better accommodation for families of dying patients.
Terrible hospital. They make you wait horrible hours even though their is no urgent situations. I have a deep cut right now that is getting infected n I haven’t been called yet. It’s been 12 hours. The employees here should honestly quit their jobs. You guys work for a paycheck and not to help people. Go work at Walmart bro. The medical field is for people that actually care about saving and helping people physical and mental well-beings.
I recently on Friday the 13 the went to myrtle ave,fifth floor for a scheduled sonogram upon arrival in an empty waiting room I had to interrupt the receptionist from her phone to check in. She was unprofessional, rude, and needs training on people skills. I was about twenty minutes early then my appointment came and went. Appointment 1130 by twelve it was a little ridiculous as no one was there. So I approach the other receptionist and has no idea that I was there so after getting a little annoyed not disrespectful I was seen. Before I got seen another patient arrives not wearing a mask gets seen in matter of minutes walks back still not wearing a mask.while I finally getting seen gets scolded by the technician Natasha because My mask is under my nose. If you are going to have rules they need to be for everyone. I wouldn't go back there if My life depended on it. Health Care in America is dead
Labor & Delivery: Horrible experience! -1st IV attempt failed & nurse 1st name starts with Dez in the spelling was pressing/rubbing so hard where she put it in that I was telling her it hurt & she didn’t acknowlege me. 2nd attempt, blood everywhere & she was dropping everything. Mind you my good friend is a nurse and I asked if they had to press so hard where an IV was removed for any reason & she said no. And I’ve never had an issue with blood being drawn before, I’m not scared of needles or anything -got epidural, test run I had palpitations. Had to redo it, told me they wouldn’t go in when I had contractions but they did anyway. I was crying & shaking uncontrollably as they continued to put catheter in my spine. 10min later they came back in and said they had to redo again b/c it was in my spine 1cm to far. 2 people going back n forth “that’s too far out, no go back in, nope a little more out” -was given OJ when I’m only supp to have clear liquids. Nurse on shift said she forgot. -had to get ultrasound for possible clot in calf, i has a c section and the man who brought me down in stretcher was thoughtful & was careful on bumps because it was painful. But the lady who brought me back to me room in the SAME stretcher slammed the stretcher into a wall and blamed it on the stretcher being the issue. I was literally crying from the pain. -my original birth plan was scrapped so trying to stay positive through all this BS was so difficult but I had to. I’m leaving this review because all these things really effected my entire labor and delivery expreience and all these things are things I should’ve never had to experience. Also losing a liter of blood during surgery to top it all off was pretty scary as well. The surgery itself I did not have an issue with though Anyway, Absolutely horrible! The experience has definitely been traumatic for me & my fiancé- we will never forget our careless experience at Albany med. Only nurse that was great was a nurse who said she was there for 27 years I forget her name, but she was amazing! She was kind and thoughtful and if it weren’t for her I would’ve probably had a breakdown.
I was sent to AMC ER by my primary care physician, because I needed IV fluids. Everyone in the ER was very attentive and compassionate. The NP, Lauren, who was in charge of the Room 7 waiting area was extremely helpful, as were the nurses and ER doctor. Highly recommend this ER.
I've been treated at Albany Med about ten times during the last 40 years. It's always been clean and the staff nice.I like my doctors. They are much better trained and more knowledgeable than those in small cities in this area.Albany Med has the best equipment--better than Saratoga Hospital, for example.
