The Downtown Grower's Market is a wonderful place to spend your Saturday mornings. I can't say enough good things. They have fresh produce for sale, lots of quick bites, all types of arts and crafts, as well as some unexpected surprises. The large crowds that show up is testament to what a nice market it is. Unfortunately for me I've started doing volunteer work during the hours the market is open on Saturdays and I don't know when I'll get to make it back. I wish they did this on both Saturdays and Sundays, but for now at least it's just Saturdays. The park that houses the market also has benches to rest and lots of green grass. I've heard people reference live music but I guess I've somehow always missed that. I could not recommend more your visiting of this market. It's a great way to kick off the weekend! Also, if you happen to have food stamps, you can buy these tokens to spend on food items that essentially doubles your buying power. It's a 2-for-1 deal. $1 of food stamps buys you $2 worth of produce and other foods. I think that's just great. New Mexicans do a really good job of looking out for each other. Go check it out!
Really great Saturday market in Albuquerque! I highly recommend taking public transit over if possible since there is very limited parking. There is a great selection of produce, meats, artisan crafts, beauty products, jewelry, house decor, and prepared foods. Support local businesses and head to the market! Try to get there before 10 because some of the stands start to sell out fast!! There is usually live music, and there is plenty of open grass space to sit and eat or listen to the music, so it might be a good idea to bring something to sit on!
Loved it People are very friendly and have alot of variety to look at! There's drinks and vegetables and foods and jewelry and art and even Solar energy company booth..."SunTurnal " Everyone helpful and kind. Bought alot of things there for myself and family. Beautiful day out in the park. I was in a wherlchair and it was just a bit hard to get through the crowds...as its on sidewalks and the grass in the middle. Maybe need little more space to get through.well it was crowded! Otherwise very impressed First time there . I'll be back! Ty
This is a great place to go and check out all the delicious fresh fruits and vegetables. My favorite of all the stands is Chavez Farmers. They are so nice friendly, Fresh Beef vegetables, fruit you can count on them too have all you may can want. The rest of the market is also great. Good food and anything else you can think of.. Have a wonderful beautiful day at the Market downtown!
The food, goods and welcoming people. This place has grown since I was there in May. I absolutely love grabbing a bite to eat while shopping. Looking for gifts, shopping for this week's groceries this is the place.

Come hungry go home healthy! Plenty of organic produce eggs beef honey jams food concession booths, pottery jewelry, fresh baked bread and tons of friendly people with great product and advise. Get there early before the heat . Lovely shade a awesome way to spend your Saturday mornings!
I found this place recently and oh my goodness I love coming here on the weekend! I have been coming nearly every weekend and plan my shopping around what I know I can find here for our groceries! There are over a hundred stalls and you can find something new and yummy every week! I would highly recommend checking this place out if you like farmers markets! You can find the best foods at: Breakfast Burritos @ Tino's Catering - There are several burrito places here but Tinos is the best! They cook everything in front of you and don't be wary because there is always a line, it's there for a reason because they are the best! Homemade Pasta @ Nocco - She makes yummy homemade pasta with many different ingredients added. She also has great ideas on what to serve with the pasta, I would highly recommend giving this shop a try. Honey @ Honey Shack - They have the best honey at this market. They have so many different kinds of local honey that are all yummy! Breads, Pastries, Croissants @ La Quiche Parisienne Bistro - They are the best bakery here, many other bakery places at the market don't really seem to know what they are doing, just save your money and come here! Their croissants are heavenly, it's all freshly baked and oh my the fruit pastries! Pottery @ Pottery by Karin - She is the best potter here. There are many potters at this market, but if you are looking for the best local pottery shop with Karin, she knows what she is doing! Jam @ Heidi's Raspberry Farm - She has the yummiest jam at the market, I would highly recommend stopping by her stall and checking out her jam.
Vibrant farmers market with lots of interesting local vendors, live music, and good vibes. I love the food too! They sell everything from Popusas from El Salvador to Delicious French pastries. Yum! Worth the visit:-.
Today was my first time going to the DGM! Ugh! I loved it so much! The vendors! The music! The fresh chopped green Chile! The fruits and vegetables and fresh wild flowers were gorgeous!
