Hey there tech founders, If you're looking for an immigration lawyer to help you navigate the complex world of visas, look no further than Alcorn Immigration. I recently worked with them on my O1 visa application, and I have to say, they were an absolute joy to work with! From the first phone call to the final approval, the team at Alcorn Immigration was friendly, supportive, and incredibly knowledgeable. They really took the time to get to know me and my unique situation, and they provided me with the guidance and expertise I needed to make the best decisions for my career. Thanks to their hard work and dedication, I was able to get my O1 visa approved, and I'm now able to pursue my dreams here in NYC. If you're a tech founder looking for a reliable, trustworthy, and friendly immigration lawyer, I would highly recommend Alcorn Immigration. They truly care about their clients and will go above and beyond to help you achieve your goals. They are the best!
Wow, what a great experience. The team at Alcorn has been exceptional to work with. I've had a few different work visa's and this have been the best experience hand down. The team answered all my questions/concerns in a timely manner. They kept me informed throughout the whole process. It is for this reason that I recommend Alcorn Immigration Law with no concerns. You are in good hands!
I highly recommend Alcorn Law and Nadia Zaidi. I chose Nadia and Alcorn Law because of her being highly recommended by 2 different sources who didn't know each other, had a high score of 95% on lawyer ranking sites and because she was in New York where I live while Alcorn held offices in both coasts. The team was very professional and respectful, kind, and I felt they worked diligently on my case. My paralegal was always available and I got my questions answered fast every time I reached out. I got my green card in less than 8 months from applying!!! A much shorter time frame than anyone anticipated. The preparation time took about 4 months, before applying, so the process from start to finish was about a year long. I am really thankful for everyone's hard work and that they can keep helping others with their cases.
I approached Alcorn over 3 years ago to help me put together evidence for an EB-1 greencard application. Through the process, Alcorn helped me with what type of evidence I will need to accumulate. When it came time to apply, they had a great writer to help write up the application and clearly have a lot of experience with EB-1 applications. After the long 3 year journey, my EB-1 was finally approved! The team has been very professional, responsive and very knowledgeable. I was fortunate to work with such a talented group to make my application successful!
I can't thank Nadia and team enough for being such a pleasure to work with!! They have experience with rare types of EB-1A cases like mine UX Design specialization so my case got approved in record time. Worth noting that multiple other attorney firms didn't even want to even take up my case because they were unfamiliar with this type of visa specialization. I'm really glad I picked Alcorn, they have by far the most competent attorneys I've ever worked with. Incredibly responsive, informative, knowledgeable, and most importantly - they treat you like the unique human you are. Even when life threw a curveball at us, they adjusted and handled everything with grace.
I started working with Alcorn Immigration Law after not being selected for the H-1B lottery a few times while I was on STEM OPT. After discussing my background and situation, they explained my options clearly and recommended applying for EB-2 NIW. Once my reference letters were ready, the team lead by Attorney Nadia Zaidi put together a compiling petition that got my I-140, I-131, and I-765 applications approved. I was impressed by the fact that the petition felt personalized and tailored to my background and specialty. They answered all of my questions promptly and kept a well organized digital backup of all the files and correspondence, which gave me a peace of mind. I highly recommend going with Alcorn Immigration Law.
Alcorn helped us secure a cap-exempt i.e., no lottery H1B visa for one of our employees, and we could not be more grateful for their help! Our case was somewhat tricky, due to our employee's unique educational background and work experience, but they were still able to help us. They did a tremendous job throughout the process, counseling us on the pros and cons of each possible path we considered several options before opting for the cap-exempt H1B, and they gave very clear instructions every step of the way. For a novice like me who had never done this before, this was invaluable! I highly recommend Alcorn to any startup who's thinking about applying for an immigration visa for one of their employees; they will definitely take care of your needs.
A couple of my friends have tried applying for multiple visas from L1 to O1 and trust me they are amazing sales people, but when it comes to real execution, you can expect anything from not filing documents by the timeline to incorrect or non-comprehensive filing. They are highly UNPROFESSIONAL in terms of inexplicable delays in actual filings, and rejection rates are also significantly high. They will promise you that they will create a case for you, but after deposit they will come and tell you that it's too difficult to build a case and those deposits are non-refundable. Furthermore, they are one of the companies that will charge the highest and deliver the lowest. They are highly available till the time you pay the bill and after that they rarely even reply to your queries. One firm that I highly recommend is legalpad who some of my friends have opted for after get conned by alcorn. Do try them.
My start-up company has used Alcorn to manage H1-B and green card applications. Immigration law doesn't leave any room for mistakes, and Alcorn doesn't seem to fully realize that. Immigration to the US is stressful as is, having to deal with flaky legal representation doesn't help. * poor communication: the entire process I felt in the dark on what was happening and had to ask and know what to ask to get any information. I learnt more from random googled blogs than from them. * poor internal management: a case was collecting dust / forgotten for several months and we had to inquire to find out what was happening with it. A paralegal presided over the case rather than an immigration attorney. * poor application: a 2 year green card process became a 4 year process after the above and poor wording that caused the entire case to have to be resubmitted to include different wording. They do seem to care a lot about their marketing emails and podcasts and whatnot. Better pour that energy in the cases.
The support from Sophie's team was just incredible for our EB-2 with NIW. Although it looks almost 500 ays, they were available 24/7 to follow our application, answer our questions and lower our stress! I would recommend them to any applicant.
