Racial profiling or bad customer service? As I entered the store I was not greeted by anyone yet I was the only customer in the store. I approached the counter where a staff member was standing, began looking at options and still no one said anything. Not even the person that was standing at the counter in which I was looking. I began looking at the options in the counter across from the initial one. Finally, someone came over to ask if they could help me with something. The body language was still very hesitant and not helpful. A White customer entered the store and was immediately greeted by the staff member at the initial counter. At this point my eyebrows were raised. Another white customer entered and was greeted. A few minutes later, the store was clear. A black customer entered the store and was not greeted by anyone. This customer was forced to approach a staff member with her inquiry about a product. After she left, more white customers entered and were greeted. It appears that the staff is in desperate need of diversity training and overall customer service training. Alex and Ani is a specialty retailer; people shop here because they can afford it. I won’t begin to speculate the reason for the discrimination. It is imperative that all customers are treated the same. All money is green regardless of the customers race.
Walked in on St. Patrick's Day, while downtown Annapolis was super packed from people bar hopping. I was greeted immediately and serviced immediately. The ladies were pleasant and professional. I knew exactly what I wanted and that helped speed the process up. I have visited this location before and will continue to patronize them because of the customer service.
This was my first time in the store and I loved it. Purchased several bracelets and Ashley was awesome sauce helping me coordinate the look I wanted. I will definitely come back to the store....I want to make sure they all read Harry Potter....lol
I had a issue with a online purchase. I was missing a item and couldn't get ahold of customer service. I was really upset and googled the closest store to me. Rebecca was great! She apologized, was down to earth and exceeded my expectations. She got her DM involved and within 30 minutes a rep called me back. That rep was wonderful too, even overnighted my missing item. This company truly knows the real meaning of customer service. The Annapolis store is about 90 miles away from me, but I'll definitely be doing my shopping there!! Thanks Rebecca!
The customer service is excellent at the Annapolis Alex and Ani location. They stand by their products and create a pleasant jewelry shopping atmosphere. Was very impressed.
Very cool inexpensive jewelry sold at this lovely store. The ladies here are very nice. What a great experience.
The salesperson was very helpful and the bracelets are very pretty. Good selection of other items as well like necklaces and rings.
