Gorgeous views of the Mackinaw bridge! I have pictures of my 7yo here when he was a toddler running through the sand. Now my 19mo old gets to enjoy the same park. There's swimming allowed here, but there's also a sign posted to swim at your own risk. My 7yo was so excited, however, we didn't know thr rocks would be so sharp! Due to the sharp rocks and no water shoes, he was only able to go out to his knees and just sat down in the water in his desperate attempt to swim. I felt bad for him, I remember the excitement of wanting to swim at a beach! Overall it was still fun. Plenty of shady spots and benches to sit.
Good view of the bridge. Nice sidewalk along the Mackinac straight. There are two museums in the park: Lighthouse and Fort
Under the Mackinaw bridge was beautiful. I have been coming to Mackinaw for years but first time coming under here. So beautiful and we loved it
The perfect place to make a quick stop just before hitting the bridge to take a few photos and enjoy the view!
Absolutely beautiful view! Very clean & friendly neighborhood!
It's been a long time since I've been here. My son is now 19 in the last time I was here he was seven. I actually had him on FaceTime and showed him the mighty Mac it brought back memories to him and he enjoyed it a lot.
Loved the different views of the bridge! You can get pretty close to under it, and her the cars go over. The water is extremely blue, but more on the dirty side. Great spot for an afternoon picnic, swim, or stroll.
Beautiful area to look at the bridge. Definitely a must for a night time viewing of the Mighty Mac
Great view of the macinaw bridge, definately worth a visit. Also, this is a great location to view the bridge at night with the bridge lights on. Gorgeous! Oh, it's also a nice view of the straights and Mackinac Island. Many folks including my fam like to buy a treat like ice-cream/fudge/carmel popcorn and enjoy it at this location along with the bridge view :-
We walked off dinner at the Lake side park, sat & enjoyed the view from the chairs along the path & checked out the neat-o, smooth rocks under the bridge at water's edge. It was wonderful & free.....
