Alexandria Police provided amazing service for the funeral of a former high profile city politician. They arrived ready to serve with traffic support during the visitation times at our funeral home and the next day as well for the escort to the cemetery. Their dedication never ceases to amaze us as they dealt with incredible heat. They are consummate professionals. Thank you!
You can definitely tell Detective Sixsmith loves her job and saving children. She did an amazing job in getting my daughter back to me. She continually communicated to me, networked with out of state agents, and never left a stone unturned. Me and my daughter will be grateful to her for the rest of our lives. She deserves special recognition for going above and beyond the call of duty!
I live in an apartment complex that has gotten hit twice now or more with car burglars who break into Honda's and try to take the car airbags. My car being broken into once and a neighbors twice in two weeks! We called the police non-emergency number after 911 told us our request was not considered valid for a visit and basically the gentleman on the other line said I would get a call within 72 hours to file an over the phone report. It has been 48 hours and still no call. What is wrong with our local services that should be preventing and investigating crime and wrong doing? Who can we depend on to maintain public order and safety and enforce the law? Certainly not Alexandria's finest.
Alexandria has become the Wild Wild West. The cops here do not enforce the traffic laws at all. If you want to make an illegal U-turn feel free. You want to drive 100 miles per hour down Duke Street go right ahead.
We had a non-emergency situation with a possible stolen vehicle. Our several conversations with dispatch over several days, and subsequent discussions with Officer Kennedy and Officer O'Malley were excellent!!
I called the Alexandria Police to check on my mother. I waited for an hour and still no response. Called them back and was told ' We are waiting for a officer to become free". That was the most BS I ever heard. They aren't worried about people unless it's a crime and they wonder why people don't trust or believe in them.
I called APD 911, from Texas, to do a welfare check on a family member. Tina with 911 was very polite and professional. My family member was with the police officers within about 10 minutes of my call to them. Officer Compton then followed up with me after my family member was at an ER. Officer Compton was very polite and professional as well. I had complete belief that my family member was a top priority. Even as I spoke with Tina with 911, she told me that officers were en route to my family member's residence. I am so happy with the services and the response times of APD. I wish to send a big thank you to all involved in this matter. I could not have asked for better service!
A huge shout out to Officer Christopher Stanton and his partner for installing two child safety seats in my daughter’s and son in law’s cars today. Excellent job in making sure the seats were installed securely and proper. I especially want to give praise to Deputy Chief Chris Wemple for arranging for this install. I met Chris 7 years ago at the FBI National Academy and have been colleagues and friends since. Chris is one of the finest Command Staff Officers I have ever met in my 37 year career and the City is lucky to have him leading You Officers in the Deparment.
Officer Sanderson Chip and D. Serven smell like Tuesday. Further, Serven's forehead seems to do the crip walk and his nose parallel park itself.
I've been trying to get through to a specific officer and haven't been able to reach them disspite having called more than a dozen times in the course of a few months. The treatment I've received is extremely unprofessional. I'm %100 in support of law enforcement but when I'm being thrown on the back burner time and time again it becomes rude and unacceptable.
