Alexandria Restaurant "the Pizzeria"

Two separate visits were completely different experiences! Went for lunch with a group of ladies and enjoyed the food and ambiance very much. Service was fast and friendly, environment was relaxed and pleasant. Table in dining room, at large window overlooking outdoor terrace and waterfall, lunch hour. Returned a week later with my mom for her birthday dinner, and was sadly disappointed. Our server was rude, neither of us was impressed with our meals, and it was too loud to even talk to each other with music AND television blaring in the same room. Booth in bar area, about 6pm I absolutely recommend their calamari, but stay away from their pasta dishes. Mom's lasagna was burned and the sauce tasted straight out of a can, and she couldn't even eat the single token meatball buried in the middle. The only good and only vaguely Cajun thing about my "Cajun Shrimp Tortellini" were the three grilled shrimp on top of it. The tortellini was overcooked and completely void of any sort of stuffing, and the sauce was basically cream of tomato soup. Was not at all pleased considering the high prices on the menu. Go for lunch on a nice day, sit on the terrace, have the fish and chips with a cold beer and you'll be happy.

Went twice this month and ordered the same meal, but tasted like I got two different meals. They both tasted good, but one was far better. The service and atmosphere were good, and the food was good - nailing the consistency was the only miss for me.

Service was friendly, but quite slow due to a large party . Our chicken dishes, brochette and rotisserie, were unfortunately very dry. The salmon entree was good. Nice atmosphere for an evening out, but will try another entree next time. Mashed potatoes are really good and salad was fresh.

i love this place! great atmosphere, friendly staff, and amazing food. the patio is a must if its open. fish n chips is always a good feed as well as the buffalo chicken poutine or buffalo chicken wrap. definitely check this place out if you are passing through.Food: 5/5

The burger was soooooo yummy! Our waitress was great. I would go back. Poutine seemed like homemade gravy! And cheese curds were even squeaky and fresh ! Delicious!

My father and I are here on Sunday night. The patio was full when we arrived but we got a nice booth inside. The building is beautiful with old stone walls and polished wood. We both got the special of the day, 8oz New York steak with fries and salad or soup of the day. The steak was cooked perfectly to our liking. Would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting a good meal, a beautiful location, and amazingly friendly staff. If it is a nice day try to sit outside, it’s a wonderful courtyard with a water fall.

Our children surprised us on our 30th wedding anniversary. They acquired the services of Chef Jon to prepare a delicious 3 course meal at our home. He was very professional and the food was gourmet. We highly recommend him. Thank you Chef Jon for a memorable experience!

Very nice place, food taste great, and generous portions, prices are totally reasonable. Staff are extremely friendly, been there twice so far, and definitely visiting again soon, and I recommended this place for my friends too.
