BUYER BEWARE!! My daughter's wedding dress was purchased on February 18, 2017. It was a good experience although the ladies were a little over the top, which annoyed the grandmother and sister of the bride. My daughter found her dream dress and veil. The dress came in the end of May and my daughter started getting pushy calls about when she could come pick it up. She explained that she would be coming with her bridesmaids on June 10 and could she pick it up then?? We live 1 1/2 hour away and she didn't want to make the extra trip. I couldn't understand why the dress had to be picked up before the alterations were completed. This store was also very pushy about getting the bridesmaids in to purchase their dresses even though they wanted to buy them closer to home. They even used scare tactics. My daughter finally gave in and made the appointment for the bridesmaids. When she picked up her wedding dress she was told she would have to call back to schedule an appointment for alterations. I thought this was strange, why couldn't they schedule the appointment that day?? Her veil hadn't arrived yet and my daughter asked when it would be in, so she could pick it up. They told her we'll just mail it to you. It arrived in a mashed up box, but luckily it was okay. Last week my daughter called to set up the alterations appointment and they told her they would get a message to the woman who does alterations and she would call her back. My daughter was also told they no longer did alterations in their store. I was VERY upset and called the store myself to find out what was going on. I was told by a rather snobby sales clerk that Alfred Angelo doesn't do alterations anymore and she could give us the name and number of a seamstress and we could go to her house to have alterations done. I asked if Alfred Angelo would guarantee the work and she said no. I asked what happens if the dress is ruined? I was told we would just be out the money. The clerk assured me the seamstress did great work, but after spending over $2, 000 in their store I wanted a guarantee. She told me this new policy came down from corporate and I could call them. I asked if I brought the dress back could we get our money back and she said no all sales are final! When we purchased the dress we were told alterations were done onsite and had this not been the case we would have purchased a dress elsewhere. My other daughter's wedding dress was purchased from David's Bridal and it stayed there until the alterations were completed and to our satisfaction. My daughter is so upset and has shed many tears over this mess! No bride should have to have this kind of worry about her dream day! We found a seamstress closer to home and she said she would be able to have her dress ready on time, but we are still really nervous because we don't have the peace of mind of a guarantee. The bridesmaids are also worried that their dresses won't be ready in time because the clerks at Alfred Angelo said their dresses wouldn't be in until September the wedding is in October and now they have to find a seamstress elsewhere. Bottom line... the clerks are very attentive and over the top with excitement until they have your money and then they're done with you!! I would not recommend this store or brand because their customer service is seriously lacking! I understand they can do whatever they want with their company, but I feel they should honor the promises made at the time of purchase!! Praying my daughter's dream dress turns out to be a dream and not a nightmare!!!

Went in to look at discounted wedding dresses. I'm older so don't want to spend a lot. The older woman with shoulder length white-gray hair was very rude to me. I cried all the way home. Getting married suppose to be happy time and she made me feel awful. Dont recommend. They should be nice to all brides no matter their age. Wanted to buy local but guess I'll be going to David's Bridal in Altoona! I was the only one there looking so they weren't busy!

With the unexpected closing of Alfred Angelo ' s Bridal, I am more than frustrated. The dress ordered by my daughter may or may not be made or delivered. No one at the store to answer questions, no phone call to explain if the dress will be made and delivered. Feel like we have been thrown away like trash. I would like answers to my questions.

Picked up my wedding gown full of wrinkles. Have been upset about that ever since. Spend close to $1000 and you get to pick up a wrinkled mess?

By far one of the best experiences I had getting fitted for and purchasing a bridesmaid dress! Brenda was so great!
