Alief ISD is a high performing, comprehensive K-12 public school district serving approximately 47,000 students at 45 campuses.
Jack Albright was born in Marshall, Texas in 1934. He and his wife Dana have two children, John and Judy.
Dr. Albright’s education includes a Bachelor of Arts degree in Christian Education from Southwestern University in Georgetown, a Bachelor of Divinity degree from SMU, and a Doctor of Ministry degree from the Perkins School of Theology at SMU.
As a community supporter, Dr. Albright was instrumental in bringing the Palmer Drug Abuse Program and Westland YMCA to Alief. His involvement in education has included a position on the Alief ISD Drug Abuse Committee and on the Alief-Katy Community College Coordinating Board. He has also served as chairperson of the Lay Advisory Board of Alief General Hospital.
Dr. Albright has served as the minister of United Methodist churches in Houston, Longview, Carthage, Bellaire, Jacksonville, and Rosenberg.
Albright Middle School was named for Jack Albright because of his commitment to the community and to education. He continues to support our school through his involvement in student and staff activities.
Albright Middle School believes that every student can learn to think critically through study of a rigorous curriculum, lead a healthy life, behave ethically and lawfully, and assume the responsibilities of citizenship.
