This particular roller rink has security they check you before you go in this is everything to me as a parent considering the dangers that are out here now. This is a large skating rink and the music is of course very current. One of the biggest things I appreciated was watching security check the bathrooms for anything that shouldn't be going on. The roller rink is clean and for the most part my experience was the kids that attended were respectful to the adults. I understand Cascade is apart of the culture in Atlanta but I've been there a couple of times and I just hands down prefer Stone mountain skate me and my family of 7 children have been attending Stone mountain location for the last 5yrs and they have yet to fail us other than a few attitudes by staff or the price increase I can give them 4 or 5 stars.
Very nice skating floor. I liked that they thoroughly check your bags for weapons. Feels like a safe environment. Unfortunately the music wasn't very good. Every song had the same beat and sounded the same. Not really songs you could skate to. I also wish they had some normal lighting. Everything was pink or blue lighting.
I tried to give this place a chance despite my initial experience with the rude owner. I came in one night and i was thoroughly impressed with the professionalism and kindness of Big Mo in the pro shop. So much so i ended up spending over $200 on skates and accessories for my wife. On tonight family night i had my entire family with me including my daughter. Big Mo wasn’t there so i was force to deal With the owner to purchase skates for my daughter. He measured her foot and said she was two sizes smaller than she was and insisted i didn’t know my own child’s shoe size. He insisted she had to try on the size he measure. As rude and nasty as he was i humbly agreed as i knew they wouldn’t fit. I then motioned for him to come check them out. As they didn’t fit! He ignored me i had to walk over to him. He never touched the skate on my daughter foot to check for the fit he was obsessing about! As i told it’s to small he said he knows. And headed behind the counter i then asked is this mens are women’s. He Rudely said they’re no mens or women’s. I’ve been skating for years and i buy my skates from roll ATL i choose to support his business solely because of big Mo. boots are made in men size however there is a chart that shows the conversion to women size. I choose not argue. He then handed me another skate. He never asked what we like only how much money we want to spend. I handed it back and said I’ll go to Roll ATL. This man was dressed in a dingy cap and dusty jeans with a way to small button down shirt. With a unkept beard and glasses. I will never support them again. And as you can see from previous reviews he’s argumentative not profesional and lacks self control. In America women have rights Sr we aren’t subservient and we won’t be disrespected!
I had a small issue that could've been resolved if actual good humans worked here. First of all, they charge you $15 per person no matter the age. $10/2hr for a walker for small children. I went to the cafe to order some loaded nachos and a drink. Paid about $12. The young lady said 20 min wait. I said ok, walked back over to my family and came back to the cafe in like 5 mins. I sat down, the young lady was sweeping up in the lobby who took my order. She didn't say anything about my food. My son came up and ordered mozzarella sticks and we sat back down to wait on them. Again, nothing. I see her leave and at this point about 25-30 mins has passed. I didn't want to be a bother so I just patiently waited. I went up to the counter and said I ordered loaded beef nachos. The new young lady went in the back and came back out, went to the warmer that was sitting on the counter and grabbed a small bowl of nachos with cheese and beef on it. I said ma'am, that was sitting there 15 mins ago, I don't believe that's mine. She said, "well what do you want me to do about it?". I said could you please go in the kitchen and ask. She rolled her eyes and went into the kitchen. After she did that, I was hot. The so-called cook came out and said what do you want? I said I would like what the hell I ordered. I apologized for profanity and repeated myself. She said well this is what you get. I said where is the loaded part of the nachos? Yall sell regular nachos, I ordered the loaded. She said well we have Jalapeno's. I said give me a refund please. No one responded. I raised my voice and said give me my damn money back now. These ignorant people behind that counter. To make it worse, the manager/owner was watching and didn't intervene at all. Instead she decided to laugh and joke about disrespect. It took every bone in my body not to say anything to her and I just walked out. It's hard to support your own people when they have a total disregard for respect and class. Never will our family patronize this place again. Disgusting people, nasty, unprofessional, bathrooms were beyond dirty, NO NAPKINS, TOILET TISSUE OR SOAP, give you the bare minimum for a jacked up price. Everybody was unprofessional except for the guy patting you down to get in.
Nice skating place for families and teens. I really like the checked each person. Its Spring Break so teen night tonight was good for the kids before they go back to school. What I don’t like is they charge us PARENTS $10 to stay and watch our own kids. I believe that price for parents is ridiculous. Im the type of parent who don’t leave mines anywhere. My daughter is 17 and my son is 16. Im not a drive by parent. I don’t drop mines and come back. You’ll never be able to say mines was mixed up in no mess. They cut the lights on a few rimes and security came to break up groups looking to fight. Glad they have security available. It does make us feels more safe.
My overall experience was a 6/10 it was GHETTO . I went on " Teen Night " kids were fighting and laundering outside. If you want to go for a safer and better experience please go around 3 - 4.
Not an appropriate atmosphere for children. I was looking for a nice family outing and this was a horrible choice. The music was very vulgar with profanity and songs calling women b*tches and very derogatory. I went on a Wednesday night btw. That place needs a health inspection also. The bathroom had no running water to wash your hands in the womans bathroom. I asked a staff member how to turn on the water he simply said its not working!!. Howwwww....???? Please do better!!!
Good music for the kids. Never seen misbehaving kids or adult. Just skaters that love to skate. Friendly and kind people.
This rink is large, the snacks are very good, service is great, and the music is good on the sessions that I visit. I skate with the 21 and older crowd. Their only downside is on the late sessions, the floor needs to be cleaned better; the teens leave alot of paper and debris on the floor. The debris is small and hard to see or avoid. That's it.
Omg!! So freaking ghetto and nasty. I usually take my 9 year old son to Sparkles in Gwinnett but we decided to save some gas and go to Stone Mountain skating rink. Horrible! The soap dispensers in the bathroom don't half work, the water faucet sensors don't work, not screwed on tight either. I've never seen faucets that wobble. You have to keep tapping it until it comes on which is not sanitary. Floors are dirty. Staff are so ghetto with attitudes. No vending machines. There is a low variety of candy to choose from behind the counter. It's also way too expensive. I'll continue to drive to Grayson from now on. Definitely not worth the money. They need to do renovations for real man.
