If I could leave a negative star I would. I have never had carpet installed by Steve or his company. My experience is from that of someone who was employed by him. Steve is a compulsive liar. He gives every customer the run around and nothing but lies about their job. He also does this to the people he employs when it comes to paying them what they were promised. If he promises you a 1000.00 for a job you will get paid 500.00 and that’s after following him around to get your money. Now anyone who rips off their own employees on the regular basis will in fact rip off and lie to every customer. He screwed over my husband, who he has been personal friends with for year so little did we see this coming. After that happened I was on a mission to be sure this never happened again. Many people who worked for him came out of the woodwork to share their stories with us once I shared ours. Several even took him to court to get their money owed. There are so many great people, great family businesses out there. Use one of those. This is not what you get with Steve Rozak and All Covered Flooring. I’ve lost a lot of sleep over the way this man treats his employees and lies to his customers. Don’t become one of those people. Stay far away from this schister.
I will say the two good things first - Jodi who works in the showroom is great and now that the carpet is installed, it looks beautiful. The reason for the one star review is the customer service of the owner, Steve. Our carpet living room, stairs up to loft, loft, two bedrooms was supposed to be installed before Christmas - we were having family over and planned to have the new carpeting installed before the holiday. This did not work out and we were able to get over it and go with the flow. We spent the next two months after Christmas trying to get a time/date to stick with Steve. Fast forward to two weeks ago - after multiple phone calls and texts setting up times only to have them cancelled, we finally had a "firm" according to Steve date of Sunday January 26th. Since he had "multiple jobs" for that day, he was going to come to our house at 7:00 AM for the install. We were relieved and happy. Saturday night we moved all the furniture out of the rooms and into our kitchen and sunroom even put a couple pieces of furniture on our front porch, tore up the rest of the carpeting, got all the old staples out of the floor, and vacuumed up all the empty spaces. Sunday morning came. No show. No call. No text. Later in the day after reaching out to Steve several times he said he was stuck finishing another job and would be to our house Monday night or Tuesday morning. Monday AND Tuesday came and went. No text. No call. The only reason we had any contact with Steve was because we kept reaching out to him to check in. I could go on, but suffice it to say that Steve showed up with ONE worker after going on and on about how he had 4 great guys he'd be bringing and that for our inconvenience he and his crew would vacuum up the new carpet and move all the furniture back for us!!! on Wednesday morning and installed the padding. Then said he'd be back shortly with the carpeting. Four hours later now it is 6:00 PM he came back and was able to finish one room saying he would be back the next morning today to finish up. Which he actually did. I know this is a First World problem, but the hassle and stress of being promised a time and date and then being completely blown off and lied to at every turn was absolutely not worth the hassle. Did he and his "4 great guys" stay and vacuum and move our furniture back? No, he finished the job and left with his one worker. Did he show some integrity and give us a financial break on what we owed him? No, he shamelessly took the check and left. I love writing great reviews for people and especially small businesses, but this was a terrible and stressful experience. Do yourself a favor and find another carpet provider/installer. UPDATE TO THIS REVIEW - my boyfriend who was there at the time of install told me later that Steve did sweep up the carpeting well before he left and offered to help move furniture back to where it was. As I stated earlier, the install was a job well-done and looks beautiful. It was dealing with blown off appointments and untruths about when he would show up that was the major problem with this company.
When we moved here a year ago we found this business. So happy we did. Jody is such a help and they beat everyone’s prices and top quality service and product. Thought they closed due to Covid and thought store was empty and we were so upset. Decided tonight to Google and see if they might have just moved. Lo and behold their open after all. Will be calling this week about carpet in other rooms. So excited.
1 STAR IS 1 TOO MANY!!! Pros: Jodi is very nice. Final install looks good. CONman: Steve Rozak, the owner. Dealing with Steve Rozak worse than dealing with the shadiest used car salesman on the planet. Every word that came out of his mouth was a senseless lie. My girl Mary, left a very detailed 1 STAR review, so I won't repeat everything. The important thing to know is, if Steve promises you ANYTHING.... HE WILL NOT FOLLOW THROUGH, EVER!!!! By far, the worst "businessman" I have ever dealt with. While Steve told me SEVERAL lies throughout the ordeal, here are a few examples: Typical Steve Rozak B.S.: The crew of 6 or 7 guys that he was bringing to "knock it out in 3-4 hours" , chaged to, "I've got 2 guys coming from Deerfield, and 2 guys coming from Indianapolis", to the actual crew of Steve and Dennis Dennis is cool. LIE: "I can definitely have your carpet in by Christmas." FINISHED INSTALL FEBRUARY 8TH. LIE: "I will be there on Sunday FEB 3rd, with 6 or 7 guys to knockit out." We emptied every room 100%, and removed all old carpet and pad HE DIDN'T BEGIN INSTALLATION UNTIL FEBRUARY 7TH, and it was just him and one guy. finished on the 8th. Do yourself a HUGE FAVOR, and avoid dealing with Steve Rozak at all cost. He turned something that we were extremely excited about into an absolute nightmare.

These guys went above and beyond to make sure my house was ready to move in. A living room, 2 bedrooms, and my master bedroom all done on time and exactly how I wanted it. Highly suggest!
