Pet Headquarters is Amazing! I called over 20 vets, emergency/24 hr vets and no one had availability or could see my dog. I was a mess when I saw that my boy was in pain and had an infection on his paw. It hurt me to see he was in pain and no one could see him. I called Pet Headquarters and they were able to see me that evening! The doctors there care about your pet and do all they can to take care of them. My dog Benji is healed and back to his happy loving self. Pet Headquarters have very reasonable pricing and accept Care Credit. My friend took her 14 year old cat to them because he was not feeling well and he is also doing so much better and gaining his weight back. I will always recommend them to anyone looking for quality care for their fur babies! Thank you Pet Headquarters, vets and staff for such great care and service!
LITERALLY THE BEST <3 Magic acquired an infection through a scratch on her nose. It was dry, crusty, & cracked. Eventually it spread to her whiskers & I began to see swelling. We called every emergency vet in Ventura county & lots of local vets but no one would take magic in. Pet Headquarters did, lifesavers! Staff & Dr Raj we’re very attentive & so friendly to my spicy magic lol. It’s only been two days on the antibiotics & her face has cleared up significantly. Definitely making them our regular vet. Thank you Dr Raj & staff
Pet Headquarters is an absolutely outstanding veterinary clinic that has completely changed my perception of pet care. After 15 years of visiting various veterinarians throughout LA and Ventura County, this place stands out as truly remarkable. They prioritize the health and well-being of your pets above all else, providing a level of care that is unparalleled. In the past, going to the vet often felt like stepping into a used car lot, especially during urgent or emergent situations. However, Pet Headquarters shattered that stereotype for me. When my 2-year-old husky was attacked by another dog on the 4th of July, I immediately reached out to my regular vet, but they couldn't accommodate us for days. Desperate for help, I called Pet Headquarters, and although they were fully booked, they showed genuine concern and offered to keep my dog and provide treatment as soon as the doctor became available. Their level of professionalism and care was exceptional. The veterinarian took the time to thoroughly examine my dog and explained the necessary procedures. Moreover, they were transparent about the cost from the beginning, ensuring I didn't feel taken advantage of. While I'm willing to spend whatever it takes to ensure my dogs' well-being, it's disheartening that many vets seem solely focused on suggesting excessive treatment plans to maximize profits. At Pet Headquarters, however, I felt a refreshing difference. Their commitment to putting the pets first, coupled with their transparent and compassionate approach, sets Pet Headquarters apart from the rest. I am truly grateful for their exceptional service and would highly recommend them to anyone seeking top-notch veterinary care.
I cannot recommend Pet Headquarters enough. Both doctors and all staff is amazing! They’ve gotten us seen through every emergency our dog has been through and provided the best care possible. Our boy Yogi had his tail amputated due to a medical condition and the staff and team has made this process s breeze. I really appreciate the extra care and precaution the team at Pet Headquarters provide! 20/10 recommend!
Dr. Raj and the staff at Pet Headquarters are incredible! They saved our senior dog’s life on more than one occasion. Dr. Raj listened to our concerns and made sure we were informed of and comfortable with everything he did. Our dog had kidney failure and stopped walking, eating, drinking, and couldn’t stand to use the bathroom. Within days of his treatment, he started recovering! He is an 18 year old PomChi and he is happy and mobile and doing great! We are so grateful for their loving care of our little guy. Pet Headquarters has helped us get more time with our furry family member and we couldn’t be more thankful. I would highly recommend going to them for your pet’s needs.
Dr Raj is awesome. I took my Golden Retriever for his first set of vaccines. Dr Raj is very helpful and the price is very reasonable as compared to other vets in this area. He answered all my queries and even called in next day to check upon my dog after his vaccination.
AVOID THIS PLACE! My dog acquired an infection on his left front paw and I could not get him into my regular vet till Thursday as they were booked. Made an appointment at Pet HQ for Tuesday and I arrived for my appointment right on time. After filling out paperwork we were taken to an examination room where we waited over an hour. After waiting for this amount of time I went back out to reception and asked if it would be much longer, and vet came in about 5 minutes after that. Dog was taken to the back and I waited in the lobby. Dog was brought back to me about 40 minutes later with a bandaged foot and a head cone, and total charge was over $600 bandage fell off after about 12 hours. Assistant told me they wanted to see dog on Friday for a follow-up. I specifically asked if there would be a charge for the follow-up visit and assistant told me "no charge for the follow-up visit unless additional treatment was required. So I made an appointment for Friday...arrived a few minutes late due to traffic and again was taken to exam room...this time the wait was about 20 minutes. Vet came in did follow-up check...no additional services performed and we were released. Since I was told earlier there would be no charge for the follow-up and no additional services were performed, dog and I left. Just as I was pulling out of parking lot my phone rang and receptionist said I needed to check out and said I owed $29 for follow-up check. I explained I was told on Tuesday by assistant there would be no charge for this but they dug in and insisted I pay $29. I paid the money and left. Based on my experience above, my conclusion is that the staff at Pet HQ is flat out dishonest. Pet HQ has the lowest Google review score of any vet in Camarillo so do yourself a favor and go to a different clinic. Do NOT get ripped off and mistreated at Pet HQ like I did.
Tired of dark vet's offices, mumblers not explaining procedures or surprise charges on the bill? Pet Headquarters is the solution. Firstly my own doctor's office isn't any cleaner or brighter. Secondly when our old dog had gotten to the end, we talked to the staff about his exit & learned exactly what would happen and what it would cost. They didn't know us, or our Dozer, but they were patient & respectful with us. They gave us time and attention as if we were the only clients today. Dr. GHUMAN gave our old dog the best care possible. I can't say what it cost, my wife insulates from professional costs to keep me from getting three bids. But whatever it cost we couldn't have a better experience. Regrettable event. Inevitable when dogs age so much faster than us. Sad to have fifteen great years come to such ragged end but today trained, talented, caring professionals took away some of the sting. Thank you. DOUGout
Our new vet! Dr. Raj is phenomenal. The staff is fantastic. The overwhelming amount of support from them all is remarkable. They took the best care of my asthmatic kitten and senior chihuahua. 10/10 recommend!
We came here out of urgency. Our beloved dog was in need of emergency care and all 3 ER vets were no longer taking animals - Horizon, VMSG and VSEC. This vet has an urgent care, which was exactly what we needed. We called other vets, nobody would take us since we were not established patients again another issue. Our dog, had been shaking her head post hike, we suspected foxtails in her ear. We were unable to look deep inside her ear. The vet tried, however, due to her sensitivity, would not let the vet look either. We had, the day before, sadly let our other dog go due to unrelated issues. We were very anxious, hyper sensitive and distraught. This vet listened to us when we voiced our concerns of light sedation to check and remove the foxtails. The vet presented all the necessary information, risks and estimate prior to the services. The quote was high, which to be fair, everything is nowadays. The vet came in after the estimate to discuss our concerns further and to reassure that our dog would be ok. The whole procedure took less than 1 hour, the provided us with ear drops to prevent an infection afterwards. I would say they could have provided more after care information, we did ask and they answered all our post-care questions. The vet did come out with our dog to discuss how the procedure went and provided us with the foxtails for examination. The office is quite simple, no frills and the atmosphere was clinical and quiet. The vet tech checked in on us while we waited to inform us that she was doing well and they were almost done with her. The front desk staff was calming and the vet techs very nice and reassuring. one 1 star to 5, due to the higher cost, we did not receive the blood work results, and no follow up call on her post procedure care 1 week out.
