Targeting at its finest. They know there is too many cars for parking spaces in my neighborhood, they have known for years. They purposely come after hours to target the cars that without options left had to park past the sign after coming home late from there already hard on life jobs. The city has no empathy for its tax paying citizens
Wish I could give zero stars. I basically never leave reviews for anywhere, but after my experience today I had to give some feedback. I’ve been working downtown and parking in the spiral deck for almost 3 years now. Been issues lots of times but I let it slide. Today I parked, all the gates were up at every entrance, linden and 9th. Couldn’t get a ticket and I don’t see how that’s the patrons faults. We have to park somewhere. When I go to leave I’m told that I need to pay the $24 lost ticket fee even though I never received one in the first place. Spoke to two different women who were rude and unhelpful, and both hung up on me after I stated it’s not fair to patrons for pay for a ticket they did not lose. Luckily, a wonderful employee saw me frustrated, let me explain, and let me out without any hesitation. Thank you to that employee only and APA should be ashamed of themselves for the criminal ways they try to extort money out of people. Put a block up if the gate is unable to give a ticket instead of trapping people inside when they refuse to pay an asinine $24 for something that is clearly APAs fault
If I could give 0 stars I would! All Parking Authority employees are extremely unprofessional and clueless. I live in City Center Luxury Apartments, hence paying way more than any of this is worth, and yes paying for parking and still unable to enter and exit smoothly in the mornings to get my kids to school or get to work. They will ask for all your information, tell you to scan your QR Code in a broken down machine, confirm that I am a paying tenant here and still refuse to lift the arm cross to let me and my family out. WE HAVE BEEN LATE FOR WORK AND SCHOOL BECAUSE OF THIS GOD FORSAKEN PARKING AUTHORITY!! It is because of this disaster of a company that I will be moving out of the apartment next year.
They gave me a ticket for no inspection but my car was inspected and I called and they didn’t care. They made me take it to court and I won. Hands down. Now the latest is they took my plate. No warning no nothing. They just took it. Unbelievable!
Congratulations on being the most corrupt entity in the city of allentown, you charge outrageous prices so people can't afford to pay and then they are stuck in debt to you. You charged me a "boot fee" 85 dollars then charged me a "tow fee" another 85 just for calling a tow truck. You are closed on weekends in the office so we can't get release forms to get our cars even though you still tow cars on the weekends. You are what's wrong with this country.
These ppl will do anything for money! Gave me 2 tickets within the same hour parking in front of my house! Saw 1 ticket at 8:15 am, by the time I got dressed and out the door to move my car there was a second ticket! One for meter then one for street cleaning even tho the street cleaning didn't even pass by yet! APA is one of the greediest freaking scams in this city!
This place deserves 0 stars. I have never been here. I don't even know where this is. Yet I am being summoned to a trial for apparently parking there? They obviously stole my license plate number or they are bad at their job and wrote down the wrong number. So now I have to drive 5 hours to a trial. I'm thinking this place is a scam.
I cannot thank Rafa enough for helping me with a unique predicament today. I have recently moved apartment buildings with my girlfriend and there was a mistaken delay in acquiring the “QR” coded parking passes for our move in day. We were given temporary passes for a parking garage attached to the new apartment building, but we were unsure which one it was. So last night we’re going around trying to figure it out and approached one garage on 8th and walnut with an employee manning the gate. I explained the situation, but unfortunately he did not listen to a word I said, and insisted my pass was for the linden deck, which made no sense as I already held an active parking pass to the linden deck so why a temporary one would be given to me as well the fact that the linden deck was not connected to the new apartment building, but this information was seemingly out of his logical grasp. He decided to be helpful the real helpful thing would be to figure out which garage my pass was for, but he had immediately made certain in his head it was for the linden deck and let me in, but in actuality, all this did was trap me inside the garage the next morning as my temporary pass did not work to get me out. So this morning, I am talking to security in the intercom at the gate to get out and was luckily enough to speak to Rafa who came out to the garage and actually ran the numbers on my temporary pass to let me know which garage it was for and let me out. All this not before, the man from the previous night coming along in his security cart, to ask me what I was doing and telling me that he spoke to me the previous night and reiterate my pass was for the linden deck, which it clearly wasn’t but there was no getting through to this man. I am very grateful to Rafa in this situation for actually listening to what I was saying and helping me, which is the first time I have ever had that experience with APA.
I recently tried to apply for a residential parking pass in the city. I provided all the required information to prove residency and I was denied due to address on my Drivers License and other vehicle documents being different than that of my lease and utility bills. I am currently renting and refuse to change all of my information if I am only going to be at this property for less than a year. How is a lease and utility bill with my current renting address not sufficient enough to prove residency?! The APA is nowhere to be found when vehicles are illegally double parked all over the city but the second I leave my vehicle in a 2 hour parking zone in front of my residence, they’re there on the spot to ticket me. Not to mention they provided “alternative” options such as their ridiculously priced parking garages and lots. Who’s to say I would be approved for those if I didn’t provide the proper documentation! An absolute joke that our tax money goes to such a greedy and non-accommodating government facility.
you guys aren’t even real cops you doing too much gave a $60 fine for literally being parked for 2 seconds how bout you go do something useful
