Alliance Bank
"In the 1990’s a group of local business people decided to form a locally headquartered bank to serve the needs of the community. In 1997 Alliance Bank was founded as a state chartered bank and opened for business on October 23, 1997. In 2004 Alliance Bancshares, Inc. was formed to be a single bank holding company which owns 100% of the stock of Alliance Bank. At that time the shareholders in Alliance Bank had their ownership interests transferred to Alliance Bancshares, Inc. The company has approximately 100 shareholders, primarily from southeast Missouri."

Trying 2 get a home loan? Avoid this bank if Becky is handling it. You will get the run around they set us for closing 3 times then day before something was wrong everytime. Things that should have been known long before. We was even pre approved still got therun around down payment assistance or any kind of grant you have to be her or her realtor friend Darren E. Friend or family they got his niece 2 grants. A horrible Experience. They want information you can't give them about your place of Employment. She has you sign things on loans and stipulations & says I do this all the time. They put you off and off then they want you to compensate the sellers. On tip of that they keep your earnest money.
I have used this bank for 7 years. They get 1 stars from me because I've had several bad experiences now. They gave me a small grant for my house. I've never missed a payment after 5 years. They won't approve a home equity loan for a new roof even though there is water damage and it's getting worse. Covid really put us in a bind and Alliance bank doesn't seem to care what kind of relationship you've had in the past with them. They only care about numbers and paperwork. Thanks for nothing Alliance Bank. You've lost a customer. .
Shelly is a very good loan originator! She has helped me throughout mortgage process and explained what would be loan amount very transparently. She is very good to work with. Thank you!
I've been banking with Alliance since I moved to Cape 8 years ago. Brenda knew me by name on my second visit, which impressed me. I've had a positive experience each visit over the years, with the exception of once or twice when I didn't understand their policies. There's one teller that I've never seen smile, but other than that they are all pleasant to interact with. I've never paid an overdraft fee, so I don't know what the fee amount is. If the money isn't in my account, it is declined. There are zero fees for my checking account. That works for me. I'm not sure why they have so many negative reviews on here, because I've always been pleased with their services. To each their own!
This is the absolute worst bank I have ever banked with, which is saying something because I've banked with B of A. For years, my fiancé and I have made an effort to bank with local banks rather than big banks, but this one is making us rethink that effort. My first big problem with this bank is that its lobby is only open until 4:30, which makes it almost impossible for anyone employed to go in or call about any issues unless your life can revolve around its schedule. Second, their daily limit for a checking account is only $1000, which has compromised our safety on vacations and during a cross country move because again, you can't call or get anything done after 4:30 their time. We also never authorized this limit on our accounts and were never EVER told about it when we opened them, or else there is no way we would have ever opened the accounts. Because of this bank, we have had to rearrange vacation plans, get hotel rooms for extra nights that we couldn't really afford on a cross country move because we couldn't get our money order for rent, and we are constantly unable to deposit paper checks because this bank is almost never open when we need it to be. Their customer service is awful. This bank is essentially useless unless you only need to spend $20 here and there and never need to leave Cape Girardeau at any point in time.
The staff make every experience very personal. Make you feel like family.
Very nice people love the customer service.
Fees are extremely high here! On everything!
