Overall the experience was good. We were moving from the DFW area to NE Alabama on top of a mountain 5 miles down a dirt road. I explained with my first moving coordinator that we'd require a shuttle for our road because we have a tight s-curve that an 18 wheeler couldn't manage. The loading day came and all was well. We spoke with the driver about the shuttle and told him about the road he said they would touch base when they knee a delivery date for certain. The week of delivery comes and the driver calls me and states that he's now been told my coordinator spoke with me and I changed my mind and my house is now located on a flat area not a mountain top and will no longer need a shuttle. I then explained to him that no my house didn't suddenly move from the mountain and a shuttle was still needed and I hadn't spoken to anyone but him since they had packed us in Texas. He suggested I call the coordinator and he'd contact his dispatch and we'd touch base later. I call and leave a message that somewhere the communication is off and we indeed need a shuttle. I receive another call back from a coordinator saying the delivery is set for tomorrow and I stress that a shuttle is needed. Delivery day comes and I hear from the driver that they are on their way to Uhaul to get a shuttle. We asked the driver what he thought of our road and if he was glad I stressed the shuttle and he said oh yes no way the truck would have made it down the road. Jerry the driver and his son were absolutely wonderful. The communication between the dispatch and whoever our coordinator was was poor to say the least. I don't think I spoke to the same coordinator twice. All our items arrived and everything in good condition. I just felt bad for our driver and all the back and forth miscommunication.
