Great little stop on the way to Florida. We saw 2 gators. For me personally, only having a chain length fence separating me from an alligator is scary. But it's still fun! The alligators came pretty close to the fence. Someone was feeding one marshmallows over the fence. The staff inside the gas station were friendly and the restrooms were clean.
Love stopping by on our way to or from Florida for a few. Friendly staff & the pond areas are very nicely laid out. We saw 2 gators. One was swimming around while the other was chilling by the fence where we could see him. I enjoyed it me being a kid at heart...lol.
Neat place to take the kids to see alligators, there is plenty of space to park even if you're towing a load or trailer, the pond us probably around 8 acres in size but you really only have access to the front and one side as well as the pier. There are large areas of well maintained grass that is great for having a family picnic or just hanging out in the sun, remember to bring sunscreen because the area doesn't offer much shade. Overall it is a really cool place to take the family and enjoy the wildlife such as Fish, Birds and Alligators.
Anytime we are traveling down US 431 we have to stop here. My family has loads of fun walking out to the middle of the pond and watching the gators. The gas station has a good selection of snacks, an acceptable bathroom, and if you need it fishing gear but you cannot fish in the pond. This is the perfect place to stop and just stretch out your legs. Lots of fun and you meet great people.
This is your average convenience store with a twist. The staff is friendly and helpful but outside, behind the store is a large alligator pond where you can see, and feed, some very large alligators. This is a unique place to stop and take a break and see something unusual.
Cool little place to stop! Live, wild gators...
Store is ok, people nice, but they do have gators...
Excellent gas station for having room to pull in a camper without a struggle AND they have alligators!!! We enjoyed walking the trail through the fenced off ponds and seeing the gators in their natural habitat yet still being safely away from them.
My girlfriend and I used to come here when we were teenagers. There were piers to walk out on back then and no fences. Also had an indoor aquarium and piers where you could go down stairs and be surrounded by glass looking into the lake. Still a great place now. My kids went for the first time on the way to the beach and loved it. Nice store with bait and tackle and a great staff
Stopped in to stretch our legs and grab a snack. After being unable to make up our minds what to get, Sasha and Joleen, I believe their names were, pointed us in the right direction with some cheeseburgers they were just wrapping up from their grill. Gotta say, friendly service and a pretty dang good burger I know! Gas station burger right?. No complaints here, at all.
