It was good, i thought the margaritas were done well. I think it was a little high price wise for what we got, but that’s to be expected in a tourist town I guess. Everything was fine, but nothing was amazing. Service was friendly though, I would comeback.
Came here hoping it might be better than I thought. First, the food is a little pricey for the food and environment you’re in. The server was nice, but we were served with paper plates for the appetizer not shown and paper cups. When I asked for a lid for my soup, they gave me a styrofoam coffee cup. We sat outside with plastic furniture as well, which was okay, but letting you know what you’re getting. I got the crab cake sandwich and it was okay. The server recommended it, but it was actually a bit dry and bland to me. We had the loaded fries for the app and that was pretty good. My boyfriend got the BBQ sandwich and it was also just okay. Lacked flavor in my opinion and was very greasy. Brought home the leftover sandwich and found TWO long hairs in it. Couldn’t eat it after that. I had also brought home my soup, that was actually good, and couldn’t eat it due to the thought of finding more hair. Our total bill before tip was $52 for his bbq sandwich, my crab sandwich, the appetizer, and one soda. I would try the other places nearby before going here.
It was alright. We came an hour or so before closing and the inside part of the restaurant was totally dead. We were the only people inside. Server was prompt and I appreciated that. The food was unfortunately not the best. I ordered the shrimp basket for $16 and I felt that the portions left something to be desired. Prices are low and the food will reflect that. Cute little place though. Would stop in for a quick bite, surely not dinner though.
My husband and I shared a delicious pub club sandwich. It was so good! We also ordered a side salad which was okay. I wouldn’t recommend the chipotle ranch unless you really like extremely spicy food. Other than that it was great. The server was great even though she had full tables and it was just her.
Great place to sit and people watch. Food was okay fries were overdone. Good draft selections. Waitperson was very friendly, but seriously scrambling. Would probably try some other place next time.
This restaurant was way too crowded on October 22nd. Our waitress was not very helpful and informative with our orders and I left without ordering a when she said that they were out. My 2 friends had ordered some lunch but they had to wait over 30 minutes in order to get it. They may have been shorthanded because of the Covid pandemic and epidemic. Some of the empty tables were not cleared and cleaned off in advance of the next set of customers. Next time I’m in beautiful downtown Harper’s Ferry, I’ll go somewhere else. My 2 awesome friends ordered something for lunch but they had unfortunately had to wait over 30 minutes to get their food. Okay
Service was very good. Our waitress was the only one in the dining room which was full but she kept up with everything. If you're looking for a place with historical ambience, this is a good one to visit. I was so looking forward to visiting this pub after hearing about it from a friend on FB. What a disappointment! According to my dinner partner, "Captain D's Fish and Chips are better." My Reuben had cole slaw on it instead of sauerkraut and I don't believe the bread was in any stretch of the imagination of the rye family. For an additional $1.95 I was treated to 5 onion rings about the size half dollars. $8.25 for a draft beer is a bit much and no, it was not of the high alcohol variety. Overall, I was less than impressed and don't feel a need to revisit on any future trips to this area. Parking: Parking was very convenient...right across the street!...however it costs $20!!. Additionally, the signage telling you about the charge is written in "mice-type" so I didn't even notice it as I was entering the lot. The $20!! fee envelope was a very unwelcome surprise after lunch.
First time at Almost Heaven and we were pleasantly surprised. They had a decent draft selection and several main menu items to choose from. The fried green beans with the chipotle ranch were absolutely amazing. The Reuben was great too- it was a unique take on a classic sandwich. We enjoyed the friendly atmosphere and kind customer service.
Nice little spot for a quick bite. Nothing fancy about the food but it’s very very quaint, has a nice atmosphere with courteous service. Would have given 5 stars but we ordered Mac N Cheese for the kid but for what we paid for, we think they could have given him something better than Kraft’s boxed Mac N Cheese. I had the Pub Club with curly fries and it was tasty. While you’re there, grab a beer.
Beers were good service was great but prices were about much $9 for a draft beer? Otherwise s cool place
