"Full service, family owned florist and garden center that has been serving the South Shore since 1933. We grow our own annual and vegetable plants, beautiful hanging plants and perennials. Our selection of plants and outdoor decor vary from season to season and we especially love the fall and Christmas. From cornstalks, pumpkins, chrysanthemums in autumn to fresh cut balsam trees, poinsettias and fragrant greens for Christmas, we have a large selection to help you celebrate the different holidays. My daughter was married a month ago and Raylynne did a beautiful job with the bride's bouquet and all the other arrangements.Her prices were reasonable and she was very accommodating to all our needs and requests. She added more than what we expected and we were very pleased. Raylynne is very talented and did a superb job! My husband got me the most gorgeous arrangement for Mother’s Day from this shop. He’s had such a hard time finding good florist on the south shore, with several disappointing deliveries the last few years. But this year, when the door bell rang on Mother’s Day, I nearly fell to the ground when I saw the arrangement! It was breathtaking, regal and such great quality! I am still marveling as I write this. Thanks for sending us a showstopper.
When my best friend passed away unexpectedly last month, I called Almquist for a funeral arrangement. Raylynne was amazing. She was unbelievably helpful in both helping me choose an arrangement, but also and in writing the little note card, as I was not myself and could not think straight. She was also very sympathetic and just made the entire ordering experience so easy. The arrangement was absolutely beautiful, more than I expected. I will always order from Almquist. Just perfect. Epitome of a well run and caring family business. I met a woman/owner here on Tuesday who was so helpful and patient with me. I’m very new to this and wanted all the pretty stuff. She was honest with the choices I picked out as to whether it would work for my land or not. She really helped me think a head and explained in depth in regards to the plants she had to offer for the season. She even helped me carry my plants out to my car and wished me luck. I’ll be back when I figure out this plant stuff and hopefully I’ll be ready for veggies and fruit plants.
I called Almquist requesting a custom rose bouquet mirroring my wife's college colors. It meant finding two slightly unusual colored roses. The woman who took my call was extremely helpful. She said she would check around to see if she could find the special roses. She called me back within two hours with a positive response. The result? A truly stunning arrangement. Even the “filler” flowers were not just baby’s breath, but a beautiful complementary small flower. Very impressed. A++
I called today to have a bouquet delivered to my Mother for her Birthday and it was such a pleasant experience. I wasn't sure of what I wanted and they were so patient with me and gave suggestions. My Mother loves the arrangement, I will definitely use them again!
