Walked in and was interested in taking a bike out for a demo. Spoke to Dave about options. He was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I told him that I was not going to buy a bike, but he still treated me as if I was, and to me that says a lot about his professionalism. I work for a well known investment firm. Our goal is to treat every client the same regardless if they have if they have over 100 million or just a few thousand with the firm. Thanks Dave for give great customer service!
Very good experience. I purchased a bike at a garage sale for $4. Not suggesting this is a great idea but I have several bikes but I did not necessarily like to ride them. This was an old specialized crossroads XP. The frame is rigid, handle shift 21 speed, light weight 15lbs, from 1994. Condition was OK, was not in riding condition when I got it. Front rim was cracked, tires were original, tubes old, brakes pad were toast. I got it barely rideable to test it out before I took it in. The size was comfortable. Cost of repairs ...$230+. Very reasonable. I have been riding it and it’s awesome! The repairs were definitely worth it. And if I really get into riding, I might even buy a new bike!
My 4th bike from Alpha and I could not be more satisfied. Purchased two mountain bikes and two gravel. My last Gravel bike is a All-City Cosmic Stallion Force 1 and I have to say I was originally going to buy just the frame and fork to build but after some convincing from Adam the owner I bought the Cosmic Stallion and I could not be happier. It truly is the best riding, best handling bike I have ever ridden. Service has been impeccable, even setting up all the bikes tubeless, they never charged me. Bought another bike from another bike store and they charged me $80.00. That is the last time I buy a bike from another bike store.
Steve worked on my bike specifically, but the whole team here is awesome and clearly loves what they are doing. As we all know, mountain bikes are incredibly expensive so I bought a used one two years ago that had quite a few issues. I brought it in and they not only got it setup ahead of schedule to help me get to Moab a bit faster, but they also took the time to explain everything they did, what to watch out for, and how to properly maintain it going forward! Thank you so much Steve and team!
I bought a mountain bike off Craigslist to go on a date with my girlfriend. She takes me on the craziest MB trails so I wanted to get my new full suspension bike tuned and safety inspected before riding. I called Alpha Bicycle and told them I had a short timeline before I needed my bike back for my date. Not only did they tune it, safety inspect it, and clean it up in time, they took the time to explain to me how to use the dropper seat, shocks, etc! I also bought new pedals off Amazon and they put those on for me as well. Steve was a pleasure to work with and I felt like this shop was honest and affordable. Thank you!
We bought our touring bikes in 2016 from Alpha Bicycle Co. They were extremely knowledgeable and helpful in the information they had to help us make the best purchase of bikes. The folks that work there are all cyclists and very involved in races around the state. The bulk of their business is mountain bikes and gravel bikes. The owners and work staff get to know you and make you feel like family. They are always available to remedy a bike problem and stand by their work. I recommend Alpha for all your cycling needs.
Great first experience. Came here to put a new shock on my bike. It only took them a few days and was inexpensive. I am very satisfied with Alpha and I plan on coming in again.
Are super nice guys and super knowledgeable! They even managed to get my bike done a day early so that I didn’t miss a ride! Thank you to the whole crew! They did a gorgeous job swapping out the drivetrain on my yeti SB six. Highly recommend!
Awesome shop! When I was in Denver for an upcoming bike race they quickly replaced my shifter within a day. Good selection of bikes and products in smaller store.
Went in to pick up a spare tube. I had some trouble with some my chain skipping which I was working on at home the night before so I just asked some questions about setting the limits and tension. He said he didn't mind taking a look at it. He put it on the stand for no more than 5 minutes and then proceeded to charge me $20 for the service when I was just asking for advice as I do a lot of my own work on my bike. So the labor rate here is about $240/hr. Edit: This platform does not have the ability to respond to replies. I am very conscious about supporting my local bike shop when I can. They offer a valuable service that can not be overlooked. But, I prefer to do a lot of my own work on my bike myself. When I came in just for a tube I simply had a quick question about how I could more precisely dial in my rear derailleur. I was searching for a verbal response. But when he offered to "take a look" at it because it wasn't as busy at the time I was thinking he would just throw it on the stand give me a quick verbal tip and I could be on my way. If he offered up front that well this could use a derailleur adjustment for $20 then I would have been inclined to pay or take it home to tinker more. It was not the length of time to perform a service and I was not requesting that work be done for free.
