Alpha Delta Pi is the first secret society for women. At the University of Northern Iowa we are practicing our open motto: "We Live For Each Other."

First.
Founded May 15 in 1851 at Wesleyan College in Macon, Georgia, Alpha Delta Pi holds the distinction of being the First Secret Society for women. Alpha Delta Pi was founded on the principles of scholarship, leadership, service to others and sisterhood. These principles still guide the policies and programs of the sorority today.

We are one of four sororities at the University of Northern Iowa. ADPi at UNI takes pride in the fact that each of our members adds a distinct uniqueness to our well-rounded chapter. Through community service, sisterhood activities, cultural enrichment and social events, Alpha Delta Pi strives to continuously enrich the lives of its members.
Forever.
Members of Alpha Delta Pi build meaningful relationships that last a lifetime. We make fun memories through our sisterhood and various events, and those experiences are what last long after graduation.
Philanthropy
Since 1979, Alpha Delta Pi has been committed to serving Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC). RMHC supports Ronald McDonald Houses in local communities and funds grants to other nonprofit organizations whose programs focus on children in need.
UNI ADPis support the local Ronald McDonald Houses in Iowa City by personally visiting the facility to cook, clean or perform simple tasks. However, our main way of supporting RMHC is by raising funds through our annual Spaghetti Dinner philanthropy event.
