Was in Alpine for an evening on the way to Big Bend National Park and found this gem of a place. A fun and casual restaurant with tables and bar seating. The wine flights and wine options were great for a small Texas town. I tried 2 different Malbecs based on the recommendations from the bar tender and both were really good. Teisha at the bar was amazing. Food was good but the highlight was the 2 member band that played amazing live music. They brought in the perfect holiday cheer with a good mix of the hits and holiday songs. Roadside parking is available and looks like it can get busy since there are other restaurants in the area. Pricing : Moderate high. Dont miss out Alpine Wine & Restaurant if you are in Alpine, TX.
Great place to gather with friends or alone. Vast selection of wine and champagne with delicious food and appetizers. Ask about their daily specials! Their pasta is delicious and especially the cesar salad. Some days they have musicians come out too.
Alpine wine is elegant, elevated, and enjoyable for a glass of wine and delicious food. I am always impressed with the presentation of each course. The atmosphere is relaxing, which is hard to find! Their grilled cheese special is fantastic! I forgot to take a picture because I was too busy enjoying it! I highly recommend stopping by for just a casual afternoon meal, live music, or even a business meeting. Support local businesses!
Not a local winery but has great variety of wine and food. Talented chefs who curate menu items. You can find any special on a menu hang in the window with a wine suggestion. They will serve it until it sells out. The server was very knowledgeable on food and wine suggestions. Live music on select nights, great atmosphere.
Thoroughly enjoyed our meal, the wine flight, the description of each by George and the warmth of Tom and Sharon. Make this a ‘must’ on your next trip to Alpine. And, if you’re celebrating something special …. book an evening at the Alpine Bed and Breakfast….the breakfast is to die for!
If I could give 6 stars I would! A much needed addition to the city of Alpine. Impressive selection of wines, knowledgeable and incredibly friendly staff --- and the food --- do yourself a favor and order the hummus!
We had a fabulous evening here. We went on a night where they had live music. The music was fantastic. The service, food, and wine were fantastic as well.
What a delightful place in the center of Alpine. Their wine selection offered lots of great choices. We just had wine, but the menu looked like you could have a nice dinner. There was live music and the glassware was Riedel. We will be back whenever we are in Alpine.
Great food, wine and service. They are so knowledgeable about wine and the area. They even had some great live music!
This is a wonderful place to eat or just have a drink. My wife and I both tried the braised short ribs with mashed potatoes and orange candied carrots. I tried a White wine flight a tasting of three of their handpicked wines while my wife tried an excellent German beer. We finished up our meal with an unusual dessert. I had a blueberry mousse and my husband had a chocolate mousse - delightful. We visited with Tom the owner who told us all the wines and beers are hand selected with the purpose in mind of providing not only great wines/beers but ones not found locally. I would recommend this place if you are ever in Alpine Tx.
